Café parking right out front for drip latte at Coffee Dripper

After lunch in Gangneung, I went looking for a café and stopped by Coffee Dripper. It's located right in front of the famous Toetmaru, but parking was way easier and I was satisfied with both the vibe and the taste. Here's my review of Coffee Dripper, where you can enjoy coffee and dessert together in Chodang-dong, Gangneung.

Coffee Dripper is located in Chodang-dong, right in front of the famous café Toetmaru. I'd already visited Toetmaru on a previous trip, so this time I decided to try Coffee Dripper, which I hadn't been to before.

I drove there and was able to park right in front of the store, which was so convenient. Parking around this area can be a bit of a hassle when café-hopping in Gangneung, so I really liked how easy it was to visit with a car.

Coffee Dripper interior vibe

The store was decorated in wood tones overall, giving it a warm and cozy atmosphere.

Plants were placed tastefully throughout the space, which made it fun to look around, and there were also goods like t-shirts on display.

It's an open kitchen so you can see straight into the interior, and it was overall well organized, giving a clean impression! The restroom was also kept nice and clean, which I appreciated.

<What we ordered> Dripper latte, patbingsu, croffin chocolate

I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have the corn latte or black sesame latte that are so trendy in Gangneung right now, but that feeling completely disappeared after drinking the dripper latte.

Dripper latte

My favorite menu item of the day. The strong flavor of the beans wasn't buried under the milk, and the balance with the latte was just right. I tend to like lattes where the coffee flavor really comes through, so this suited my taste perfectly! I ordered it because it's Coffee Dripper's signature drink, and it turned out to be the best latte I've had in a while.

Croffin chocolate

The outside has a chocolate coating with chocolate chips on top, and inside is filled with chocolate cream.

It was properly sweet, the kind of dessert that clears your head when you're craving sugar, haha. The chocolate wasn't that cheap-tasting sweetness, it was actually good chocolate, so I was satisfied. It was the perfect menu item for when you're craving something sweet!

Patbingsu

I liked that the red beans weren't overly sweet. Instead of a patbingsu filled with nothing but sweetness, this one felt like the flavor of the red beans themselves came through, which made it feel a bit more refined.

The base was like milk ice, and the rice cake and brass bowl used as toppings really suited it well.

Looks like they roast their own beans too! At Coffee Dripper, everything I ordered, from coffee to dessert, was satisfying. Especially the dripper latte with its strong bean flavor, the patbingsu that wasn't overly sweet, and the sweet croffin — all exactly my taste! If you want to enjoy good coffee and dessert in Chodang-dong, Gangneung, I recommend it.
