Gongdeok café wedding gift box with Dubai egg tart: Fluffy Bake Shop

I go crazy for sweet desserts,,,🥯🥨🧁🍰🥐 and apparently there are quite a few famous bread and bake shops near Gongdeok Station!? 🤤

I happened to have plans in Gongdeok,, well would you look at that~ can't let a sparrow pass by the mill,, I heard there was a real dessert spot that carefully makes everything with AOP-grade Lescure butter from France !!! So I went 🤍

(This place is legit — it's even been on TV, on Nolto,,) My eyes feasted on the variety of baked goods🥹 and so did my mouth 😋 here's my honest review of the seriously delicious "Fluffy Bake Shop"

Finding it from Gongdeok Station Exit 2

Come out Exit 2 of Gongdeok Station, keep walking straight, and turn right — you'll spot the cute Fluffy Bake Shop with a white sign and madeleine logo >,,<

You can even sense the owner's aesthetic from outside,,🫧

Business hours differ on weekdays and weekends, so please check before visiting :) (also worth noting — if you go late, almost everything's gone,,)

What's the vibe inside the shop?

Since it's mainly a takeout spot, the inside is pretty compact, but there are enough tables and seats with a warm atmosphere!✨

Baked goods made with Lescure AOP butter

Since I love baked goods, when I pick a financier or madeleine I don't just look at flavor or looks — I also check what ingredients are used!! But Fluffy Bake Shop,,😳

They said they use Lescure Charentes-Poitou butter for their baked goods, oh,,, ⁉️🤤🤤 Lescure butter is an AOP-certified butter from the Charentes-Poitou region of France, known for its deep, rich buttery flavor.

Since the butter really matters for baked goods like financiers or madeleines where buttery flavor is key, I visited with high expectations🤩 The owner has every right to be proud, so good 👍🏻👍🏻

Visiting at 4pm — the display case situation

The display case is filled with pretty baked goods made fresh that day 🤎🫧✨ Since it's such a popular dessert shop near Gongdeok Station, when I visited around 4pm most menu items were already sold out,,,

The popular lineups really seem to disappear fast! Next time I'll definitely go in the morning,,, check Instagram for the fuller lineup!

Wait,, what is this visual,,😳 The menu is so varied and each item looks so different that I had a total meltdown deciding what to pick,, honestly I wanted to eat everything,,,ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ After deep deliberation I picked the ones that looked most delicious among what was left!!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

I was once obsessed with the Dubai chocolate cookie craze,, and this Dubai egg tart's visual is insane, right,,?

What are the gift packaging options like?

They also have pretty boxes ready for gifting! There are 4-piece, 6-piece, and 15-piece packaging boxes, and isn't the color of the shopping bag package just so pretty💚☁️

If you don't want the gift packaging, the basic option is individually wrapped pieces in a paper bag :)

The 6-piece gift box, for a friend getting married

Honestly, I barely — barely — held back my urge to keep this 6-piece gift box for myself,, telling myself 'next time I'm definitely coming back to buy my own,' I held back tears (?) and gave it to my friend who's getting married lol🥹^^^....

The gift packaging was so pretty that my friend's eyes were already sparkling when I handed it over. Here's the proof shot she sent from home! (ah the Dubai one!!!!!!! I want it!!!!!!!) She said it was really delicious,, the couple ate it together all lovey-dovey ^^^^

Apparently the Dubai egg tart was especially insane? She said the crisp egg tart pastry layers with the moist pistachio filling inside was an unbelievable combination,,,ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ The canelé was also crisp outside and chewy-moist inside, packed full 🤎

She raved that the lemon madeleine, hallabong (Korean citrus) madeleine, and fig financier were all so moist with such deep flavor,,,,🫪 And of course, I made sure to keep 2 for myself lol🫣

How do the Nutella madeleine and Earl Grey madeleine taste?

My picks — Nutella madeleine and Earl Grey madeleine! Look how thick the madeleines are. Even eaten the next day, they were just like freshly baked haha

The Nutella madeleine has marshmallows dotted on top and is baked with hazelnut and crystal sugar sprinkled on — the visual alone is enough to drive sweet-toothed people wild,,ㅎㅎㅎㅎ🫠 And the Nutella filling is packed inside, so the moment you bite in, it melts with sweetness ㅎㅎㅎ🤎

And then the Earl Grey madeleine I completely fell for !!! The outside had a thin, clear sugar coating that was crisp, while the inside was packed with rich Earl Grey cream,,🤤 The black tea aroma spread deeply, and maybe because of the good butter, a truly luxurious flavor filled my mouth — it was heavenly ㅎㅎㅎㅎ

Would I recommend this as a gift?

With a wide variety of items, each with its own distinct flavor and deep richness, plus that moist texture — Fluffy Bake Shop was perfect! With clean packaging that makes the giver feel proud and the receiver feel touched, it's a great pick for gifts to acquaintances or thank-you treats!
