As someone who loves crab and shrimp above all other seafood, I booked the moment I heard a crab specialty restaurant had opened, and ran over there with excited steps!

A crab direct-sale market with no scale tricks

On the right side of the entrance, fresh crabs greeted me. Sorry guys, I'll eat you deliciously. True to a direct-sale market, it was packed with fresh crabs

At regular markets they sometimes trick you by hanging cable ties next to the scale or using baskets that don't drain water, messing with the weight. You can trust Dosi Crab Gimhae Branch. Crabs taken from the tank are drained and placed on a perforated tray for an accurate weigh-in!

There's a country-of-origin board and the day's market price is posted. Lobster, snow crab and king crab are priced differently by type, so it's good to call ahead on the day you visit

The interior is clean and calm in white and gray tones. There are hall tables plus several private rooms, so it looked great for family meals or group gatherings

I booked through Naver Reservations, which requires a ₩10,000 deposit. Once I'd booked, they set us up with a room, and the table even had our name and the number of adults and children written on it

Ordering and the table charge

Dosi Crab's clean menu board! I debated between the hinoki-steamed crab and the garlic cheese butter grill, and rang the bell to order

With 2 adults and 1 preschooler, they served us 3 bowls of pre-meal cream of mushroom soup

Table charge is ₩6,000 per adult × 2 people

Table charge is free through elementary school age. It's also free for national merit recipients, police, firefighters, military personnel, and elders age 80 and up

What came with the basic table setting

After the pre-meal soup, the basic side dish spread arrived. My favorite shrimp sushi, snow crab leg fritters and shrimp fritters loaded with crab meat (3 pieces each), bossam (boiled pork wraps), and imitation crab salad. The freshly fried snow crab leg fritters and shrimp fritters were crispy, and dipping them in sauce really whetted the appetite. My youngest doesn't like seafood so she ate the whole bossam by herself. She said it was soft and tasty, haha. The cockle and water dropwort salad and the imitation crab salad both come with one free refill

4 pieces of sweet raw shrimp. My husband ate one and I demolished the other three, lol

The body meat is packed full. The meat yield is really excellent

And the leg meat, don't even get me started. I picked up one leg and it filled my entire palm — such a long king crab leg

The real meat is in the king crab claw leg! Massive in both size and thickness. A happy day, having a great Gimhae king crab restaurant near home ♡♡ The portion was too much for 2 adults, so next time I'll order the medium size. I originally wanted the snow crab innard fried rice but couldn't manage any rice, so for round two we ordered snow crab ramyeon instead

My husband wrote one and I wrote one, fair and square, and got the snow crab ramyeon!

Packed with snow crab legs, baby octopus and shrimp too. You don't need to look far for good food in Gimhae — Dosi Crab is all you need! Also great to visit after a stroll through Yeonji Park

It's not over yet. After the main dish, they serve strawberry yogurt for dessert. Sweet and tangy — a perfect finish!

There are clean restrooms separated for men and women
