We stopped by on the way home from a campsite — Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak, a Korean restaurant known as a go-to spot near the Yongin rest area.

This is Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak, which recently opened in Jubuk-ri, Yangji-myeon, Yongin. It's only 4km from Yongin IC, so it was easy to reach on our way home, and we decided to eat here right away.
The sky was so pretty today, and after a fun trip, let's finish with a good meal!! I always worry about parking whenever we go to a restaurant, but this place has room for 50 cars, so no parking worries here!

The day's highlights: pork bulgogi and braised hairtail with radish
Once you pay and enter, all these Korean dishes are laid out buffet-style. Even though it was a weekend, there were a lot of office workers and families eating here. Everyone grabs a tray and serves themselves.
Today's menu had pork bulgogi and braised galchi (hairtail fish) with radish, and my eyes went wide. Staff kept refilling the side dishes so they never ran low.
My favorite, braised galchi with radish! It was so popular that a lot of customers were digging in. I grabbed one piece, and it was so good I went back for a second.
My kid loves pork bulgogi so much — and since there were vegetables too, we wrapped it in napa cabbage leaves.
There was a healthy variety of Korean dishes ready — radish salad, seasoned bracken fern, stir-fried anchovies... so many side dishes!
Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak is packed with fresh ingredients and a variety of dishes, and I loved that it felt like home cooking. Since they also do dosirak and catering besides the buffet, the menu is varied and fresh, which is great.

Fresh vegetables for wrapping, baram-tteok and kkul-tteok (filled rice cakes) — this Korean buffet has everything. There's even ramen you cook yourself in a pot.

Is the 200-seat hall good for families and solo diners?
Further inside is a spacious hall with around 200 seats. The clean interior makes it comfortable for a relaxed meal, which is great for family dining. Plenty of solo diners and office workers come here too.
We decided on a Korean buffet on the way home from a fun camping trip, and it was, as always, an excellent choice.
I much prefer home-style Korean spreads like this over high-calorie fried food.
Fresh vegetables, seasonal greens, multigrain rice, and warm soup — things that are hard to eat regularly — all in one balanced meal. Everyone piled their tray with whatever they liked at this Korean buffet. It tasted like home cooking, so my stomach felt light and the food was great!
The braised galchi with radish, a total rice thief... even the seasoning is so~~ good. The flesh doesn't fall apart and the seasoning soaks in deeply, so tasty.
I also love baram-tteok and kkul-tteok — very chewy and delicious.
Eating this much for just ₩9,000 is really great value. Being able to enjoy a Korean buffet this generously at such a good price... that's amazing.
There's also janchi-guksu (banquet noodles), and one corner has self-serve ramen you cook yourself, which the kids really enjoyed. Other families with kids also visited, cooking their own ramen and enjoying sweet sikhye.
Is this Yangji Korean buffet in Yongin worth a return visit?
Daedong Korean Buffet & Dosirak delivered on variety, value, and a comfortable dining atmosphere — very satisfying. Eating together with my kids who all have different tastes, everyone found proper home-style food to their liking at one table.
