Incheon ramen restaurant set with crispy gyoza: Menya Seoul

In short

Menya Seoul Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch is a ramen restaurant in Michuhol, Incheon, on the B1 food hall of Lotte Department Store. We tried the Signature No. 9 Set for ₩15,900 and whole pork belly mazemen for ₩11,900, with generous toppings, crisp gyoza, and rich spicy jambon ramen. A great sharing meal while shopping.

Getting to Menya Seoul from Incheon Terminal Station

It’s at Exit 2 of Incheon Terminal Station, in the B1 food hall opposite Outback Steakhouse, so it isn’t hard to find. If you’re driving, you can park at Lotte Department Store, and purchases over ₩30,000 qualify for parking support. Purchases can be combined, of course, and you can also apply parking-support coupons through the Lotte Department Store app!

I used public transportation, and since it connects directly to Incheon Terminal Station, it was easy to get there. As I mentioned, drivers can use the Lotte Department Store app for free-parking coupons twice a month, which is even better to know. On foot, it was convenient because it’s in the department store food hall—you can stop by while shopping without going far!

Ordering a numbered set

Once you enter Menya Seoul, you can see the food-hall-style displays and the visuals of the dishes you might want, so ordering isn’t difficult. It’s such a well-known restaurant at Lotte Department Store Incheon that I wanted to eat everything just from looking at it!

You simply order by number, and set menus come with double toppings, so the sets seem like great value. I ordered the Signature No. 9 Set (₩15,900) and the Whole Pork Belly Mazemen (₩11,900). The review event gives you an ajitama egg aged for over 48 hours, so join in and get your egg, too!

There are table seats that make eating in easy, and the tray-return station is clearly marked, so returning your dishes after the meal is nicely straightforward, too!

Each table also has some tasty sauces to enjoy with the ramen. There’s dashida vinegar, which is great mixed into mazemen (sauce-mixed noodles), and chili oil for adding a spicy kick.

A generous serving of whole pork belly mazemen

Here’s the mazemen after ordering. It comes topped with two thick, long strips of pork belly chashu. I think there were two strips because it was a set menu.

After mixing it well and taking a bite, the plump noodles and mazemen seasoning went together so well! The meat was tender enough to come apart easily with chopsticks, and it was seasoned just right without being greasy. I could immediately see why mazemen needs a bowl of rice—you could mix the rice thoroughly into the remaining meat sauce and it would be delicious~ The portion was already generous, so I couldn’t order rice, but the sauce was so good that I scraped up every last bit.

Crispy gyoza and rich spicy jambon ramen

Crispy gyoza (pan-fried dumplings) and the extra ajitama egg! Since the egg had been aged for over 48 hours, it was nicely savory and delicious even soaked in the broth. The gyoza were crisp, too, so a set menu feels essential when you come to Menya Seoul! Ramen alone would have felt a little incomplete, but the gyoza and egg made for a great combination.

The spicy jambon ramen was loaded with toppings, too. Unlike the mazemen, it had thin noodles that absorbed the broth well, while the jambon meat was savory and nutty. The noodles were cooked just right, and they paired so well with the spicy broth! Maybe because the broth had simmered for over eight hours, it had a truly rich, deep flavor. There was absolutely no unpleasant odor, either~ I enjoyed it enough that I’d happily come back next time.

If you’re looking for a good restaurant at Lotte Department Store Incheon, I recommend Menya Seoul as an easy stop while shopping. With double toppings and generous portions in the set, one set and one individual dish are more than enough for two people to share.
