After letting my hair grow out without much care for a few months, I wanted a fresh change for the first time in a while, so I visited Yuwolae Mijangwon (유월애미장원)! This hair salon by Gwanggyo Jungang Station has a pretty name and great skills, too!

Yuwolae Mijangwon is near Gwanggyo Jungang Station, so it is convenient by public transportation and just as easy to reach by car. You can simply park in the building, which makes things so convenient!

Right here! Zip up to the eighth floor of Building A, the office building, and you will find Yuwolae Mijangwon. Whether I came from the underground parking lot or entered from the first floor, the building was easy to find, so getting to the salon was a breeze~

Private one-on-one consultation and salon atmosphere

Yuwolae Mijangwon is a Suwon Gwanggyo hair salon with a beautiful name. On the day I visited, I had my appointment with stylist Lara. She begins after a thorough consultation about the style you want in a private one-on-one appointment. She checked in on my preferred look throughout the process, so of course I was highly satisfied! She was sooo kind and skilled that Yuwolae Mijangwon instantly felt like a place I would become a regular at.

The salon was not huge, but its clean white palette made it feel bright and fresh overall. The floor-to-ceiling windows gave it an open feel, while the private appointment atmosphere immediately made it feel like a truly skilled salon.

There was also a comfortable waiting area. I sat and waited for a moment before moving over for my appointment; the treatment and waiting areas were divided on either side of the entrance, and I loved the undisturbed atmosphere.

Even the shampoo room at Yuwolae Mijangwon was clean and upscale. With reasonable prices, great service, comfortable chairs, and excellent skills, it is impossible not to choose this place.

Damaged hair and loosened curls before the appointment

Before the appointment, my hair was fairly damaged, and more than four months had passed since my last perm, so the curls had loosened a lot and felt flat. Above all, the damage began around the middle of my hair, so I went in worried that the result might not turn out the way I wanted—but those worries were completely unfounded!!!

Layered cut and protein steam treatment

Because my hair was quite damaged, we first discussed how much length to cut before doing a layered cut. I did not want to lose much length, so we cut about 5 cm from the ends, and it was cut to exactly the length I wanted!

We started with a protein steam treatment to protect my hair, and perhaps because of that step, my hair felt noticeably softer after the perm!! Even while shampooing along the way, Lara kept emphasizing the importance of hair protein and said they use protein shampoo, too. It really seems to help! Even now, several days after the perm, I can still feel that my hair is in good condition.

At Yuwolae Mijangwon, every step was explained carefully from start to finish, so I could relax and get the style I wanted. Above all, the incredibly kind service was a huge plus—I could get my hair done comfortably without any inconvenience!!

A finished Elizabeth perm with bouncy big curls

Comparing before and after, the curls clearly have a completely different bounce! I wanted a natural perm with big curls, and after discussing the reference photo I brought with Lara for quite a while, we decided on an Elizabeth perm. The result was sooo satisfying!!!

The fringe curls turned out so bouncy and lovely, and I adored these big curls with just the right feminine feel—the exact look I wanted! It cannot be easy to get big curls this bouncy, so Lara's skill is truly amazing!!

The curls fall softly, bringing the overall volume to life and making my hair look fuller and more atmospheric. I wanted natural, goddess-like big curls, and the Elizabeth perm was finished perfectly with the mood I wanted while still protecting my hair! My hair felt so soft that I wanted to keep touching it again and again. Thanks to Lara, my dry, limp hairstyle transformed into something far more polished and full!! I loved how she explained every detail and took such care, and it made me want to come back again next time.
