Bread-loving Gochujang here :) Have you heard of 'wakppu salt bread'?! It's a pretty revolutionary new bread that grafts the trendy wakppu ball onto salt bread. I found it at Bakerist Brown, a bakery near Sinnonhyeon Station.

Let me introduce a café near Sinnonhyeon Station that's great for enjoying both delicious bread and coffee at once :) It's a large bakery café that uses the entire building, from the basement all the way up to the 3rd floor. On my first visit especially, the range of bread was way wider than I expected, so it was fun just browsing.
Hours are 11:00 - 22:30.
How to get to Bakerist Brown, and is there parking?
Bakerist Brown is about a 4-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station exit 6, and about a 7-minute walk from Gangnam Station exit 11. If you head up the alley by the Gangnam Station CGV, it's easier to find than you'd think.

Being close to Sinnonhyeon Station, it's convenient to drop by before or after meeting someone, and it's also a solid spot for dessert or coffee after a meal in Gangnam. No parking, though!
Inside Bakerist Brown: four floors of seating in Gangnam
One of Bakerist Brown's biggest strengths is simply how big the store is! With space from the basement to the 3rd floor, it feels less like a bakery you grab bread from and go, and more like a café where you can settle in and enjoy coffee and dessert at ease.

It's a nice space to visit alone for a coffee break, and just as good with friends or a partner to chat over. Finding a café this spacious right in the middle of Gangnam isn't as easy as you'd think. So if you're looking for a wide, comfortable café near Sinnonhyeon Station, this could really work for you. A Sinnonhyeon bakery where you can properly relax!
What bread does Bakerist Brown sell, from wakppu salt bread to fig kouign-amann?
Walking into Bakerist Brown, the first thing that catches your eye is the sheer variety of bakery items. Beyond plain loaves, salt bread and financiers, there are quite a few items you might be seeing for the first time, like fig quiogh amann and wakppu salt bread — bread lovers' eyes will practically turn into hearts!! Let me walk you through the menu items that were just fun to look at on this visit :)

Rows of breads and desserts that make your mouth water just looking at them!! That's Bakerist Brown for you. They also have plenty of trendy dessert styles, and the fun one was the wakppu salt bread! It really does feel different from a regular salt bread, so it's worth trying at least once if you visit.
Bakerist Brown drink menu and prices
Bakerist Brown doesn't just sell bread — there's also a good variety of coffee and ades.

Based on the menu I checked:
- Americano ₩6,500
- Espresso ₩6,000
- Flat White ₩6,800
- Café Latte ₩7,000
- Cappuccino ₩7,000
and so on. Since there's such a wide range of bread, it's a great setup for ordering one coffee and sharing a few bakery items. Given how spacious the place is, I think it's better suited to settling in and enjoying slowly rather than grabbing bread to go.

Black sesame latte with the Gangnam Sand and financier
I had the black sesame latte, plus the Gangnam Sand the staff recommended, and a financier on top! I properly enjoyed tasty bread and dessert along with a sweet latte :)
A place with lots of bread variety, nice desserts, and wide, comfortable seating! If you're looking for a café near Sinnonhyeon Station to leisurely enjoy good bakery and dessert, give Bakerist Brown a try :)
