Why dye hair again after lightening it in summer?

I lightened my hair once over the summer and honestly loved how bright and fresh it looked at first hahaha^^ But dye isn't forever, is it?

As time went on the color started fading, and instead of the bright brown I wanted, yellow tones came up along with some red undertones?

Especially under sunlight, my whole head looked yellow-tinged, so I figured it was time to fix the color... T_T Root touch-up was overdue too...

So this time, rather than just covering it up dark out of nowhere, I wanted a color that wasn't too heavy or stuffy-looking, kind of like tsuki...^^

Biorn Hair Apgujeong Rodeo is a 3-minute walk from Apgujeong Rodeo Station. Fitting for an Apgujeong Rodeo hair salon (?), it really is only 3 minutes from the station.

A lot of shops around Apgujeong are tucked into alleys, so it can be tricky to find the place on your first visit — being close to the station is definitely a plus!

Parking was available too! Parking fee ₩5,000 / valet ₩5,000, just so you know :)

Before the dye, my hair still had quite a lot of the summer bleach color left in it

It was bright but with yellow and red tones showing together, so the texture looked dry too... and honestly it was dry hahaha. Plus the tone at the top, middle, and bottom were all different, so it looked a bit uneven..T_T

After Baekha's thorough consultation, the color we landed on was a brown with the yellow tones removed!

The plan was to clean up the remaining yellow and red tones and even out the overall tone into something calmer 😆

How the full-head dye set an ash brown tone, step by step

The full-head dye at Biorn Hair Apgujeong Rodeo started with a scalp protectant, then a dye mix matched to my hair condition applied and left on for about 30 minutes, finishing with the roots. First, the scalp protectant applied carefully.

Then the dye, mixed specifically for my hair condition, applied carefully too

Waited about 30 minutes, then finished off the roots thoroughly!

Ooh... it looks a little toned down already..!

Eek, the brown color is getting more vivid 🤎 I was already grinning by this point hahaha hahahaha

The big reveal — After 🤎🤎🤎 With the whole head evened out into brown, this is fall energy right here!!

Lately at work I'd been so self-conscious about my hair color!!! This easygoing yet mature brown turned out so well T_T Deputy director Baekha really has golden hands...

When you want a calmer autumn brown, not a whole new look

This dye wasn't really about a full image transformation — it was mainly about tidying up hair that had lightened and faded over the summer! Taming the red and yellow tones while keeping it a calm brown, not too dark, that was the goal.
