I had plans near Gangnam Station and was looking for somewhere to go when I found Bakerist Brown! I had no idea a café with this much charm existed right in the middle of Gangnam Station. The red brick exterior caught my eye from outside, and the moment I opened the door I was greeted with bread everywhere — instant mood boost!

How wide is the bread selection at Bakerist Brown?

The bread you see right as you walk in... pure happiness, honestly ㅠㅠ From madeleines to pastries, salt bread to sandwiches, the variety is huge, so just doing a lap to look around takes a while haha. I genuinely wanted to try everything and spent ages deciding what to pick.
Bakery menu at Bakerist Brown

Every single item looked incredible. I really wanted to try the salt bread too, but this time I decided to go with the signature Gangnam Sand! Next time I'm definitely trying the other pastries and the salt bread haha.

So, so gorgeous. Is it just me who feels at peace seeing a bakery this full of bread?

The long french pie looked so good haha

2nd floor seating at Bakerist Brown
The interior of Bakerist Brown was so clean and cozy too. It's great for a date in Gangnam, and just as good for relaxing solo with coffee and bread! I mainly checked out seating on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and each floor had a different feel.
The 2nd floor is bright and comfortable! There are sofa seats and plenty of wide tables, so it seems good for a group meetup too. The seats weren't cramped and the tables were spacious enough that I didn't feel bothered by conversations at nearby tables haha.

3rd floor mood at Bakerist Brown
The 3rd floor of Bakerist Brown felt a bit more classic and calm than the 2nd. If you like a bright feel, go for the 2nd floor; if you prefer a classic atmosphere, the 3rd floor's for you! I honestly had no idea such a comfortable café existed in Gangnam haha. No need to wander looking for a seat — it was actually fun checking out each floor and picking one.

How do the Gangnam Sand box and salt cream coffee taste?
I really wanted to try everything, but since it was my first visit, I went with the signature Gangnam Sand! The 10-flavor box for ₩19,500 lets you try a little of many flavors, and the packaging was neat enough that it'd make a decent gift too.
The salt coffee has a salty, smooth cream on top, while the coffee underneath is bitter — drinking them together was the perfect sweet-and-salty combo ㅠㅠ It wasn't just sweet cream coffee, the coffee flavor really came through too, which I liked. The iced Americano paired perfectly with the Gangnam Sand. The Gangnam Sand came in a range of flavors, and the cheese one was truly my style. Kind of like a milder version of Ppolongtto (cheese snack), familiar but I kept reaching for more haha.

Verdict on the 10 Gangnam Sand flavors

Besides the cheese flavor, it was fun picking one at a time, and they disappeared in no time... They paired even better with the coffee, and I could see exactly why Gangnam Sand is the signature item! If you're looking for a spacious, comfortable café in Gangnam Station or want a bakery with lots of bread varieties, definitely give Bakerist Brown a try! It works well for a date, a solo café trip, or a meetup with friends — all around. Next time I want to go back for the salt bread ㅠㅠ
