I had no idea a milk bread bakery had opened in my own neighborhood. My husband, who passes this street on his way home from work, mentioned a new bakery had popped up, so after dinner we headed out for a walk to check it out. We know this street so well we got there in 10 minutes. Honestly, saying it's next to Jjangi's place would clear up any confusion for locals.

The exterior was lush with greenery, clean and neat, with a poster announcing new menu items. There were metal chairs set up on the deck out front for waiting. Even from the entrance, this incredibly nutty, savory smell was wafting out. Bakery smell is truly lovable ♡

The wind had knocked over this standing sign, and since we can't just walk past something like that, we set it back up and snapped a photo! Apparently freshly baked milk bread had come out again today. Let's hurry in haha

Small but so clean, with white and wood tones and soft yellow lighting. It has exactly that bakery-you-must-visit feel. Couldn't resist looking around and sampling everything.

Is any milk bread left if you arrive in the evening?

Stopping by Easy White Bread after dinner was a big mistake. There were only a few loaves left on the display shelves, and sold-out stickers were lined up one after another. Sigh... should have come earlier.

What we managed to taste was Easy White Bread's signature Golden Beurre milk bread, plus the Walnut Cranberry Rye milk bread that I didn't get a photo of. Both incredibly soft. This is exactly why I've stopped buying sliced bread from big commercial bakery chains and started buying from places that specialize purely in milk bread.

Those cruel sold-out stickers everywhere—but even though everything was gone, let's take a look at the menu anyway.

Easy White Bread's five milk breads and their sizes

There were five kinds of milk bread: Golden Beurre, Fresh Cream Castella, Soboro Chestnut Rice Cake, Walnut Cranberry Rye, and Olive Cheese. As a bread lover, I wanted to try them all. Sizes available varied by bread type—1pc, Half, or Whole. Sadly, without much choice left, we ended up only buying the Soboro Chestnut Rice Cake milk bread.

How to slice and store Easy White Bread milk bread

There was a cutting guide notice for the Golden Beurre milk bread: 1.5cm is good for spreading butter or jam, 2cm is best for enjoying the bread's natural flavor and texture, and 2.5cm is ideal for toast or French toast.

Milk bread tastes best torn along its grain on the day it's made, and if any is left over, it can be frozen for up to two weeks.

What kind of bakery brand is Easy White Bread?

Easy White Bread is a milk bread specialty bakery café brand from BonIF, developed from the milk bread that was originally the signature item of Easy Brewing Coffee, now grown into its own independent brand. It's described as using carefully selected ingredients like AOP French butter and dairy cream, giving the bread deep flavor and softness. I don't know all the technical details, but I fully agree on the flavor and softness!!!

Drip coffee at Easy White Bread

Hearing it was known for drip coffee, I ordered a decaf. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but my husband tried it and confirmed the beans were quality. Fresh brewed coffee paired with the milk bread makes for an even richer harmony of flavors.

What's in the Easy White Bread gift sets?

There were also gift sets that seemed great for giving. Gift Set No. 1 comes with either two of the four signature Half milk breads or one Whole loaf, while Gift Set No. 2 includes milk bread plus two jars of handmade butter jam. These seem perfect for a special occasion or even a small everyday gift.

Various cream cheeses and handmade jams to pair with the signature milk bread—plain cream cheese, honey fig cream cheese, blueberry butter jam, and more. Oh, and there was a cream cheese review event going on!!! Pairing these together would make for a convenient and satisfying meal substitute.

There were seats set up like this too. We went with takeout though.

Coming soon: Deep Chocolate milk bread—launching in September, so maybe it's out any day now? There was also Fresh Fruit Milk Cream Sando, launched in August, which we could have bought, but since it was late in the evening, we'll save that for next time.

How does the soboro chestnut rice cake milk bread taste?

The Soboro Chestnut Rice Cake milk bread—the only one left to take home from Easy White Bread—had a sweet, crunchy soboro topping, healthy chestnut sweetness inside, and the chewy texture of rice cake bread all at once, a real three-way win. I couldn't believe how generous the chestnut filling was, haha. Absolutely delicious.

Packed it into a shopping bag and headed home.
