Outdoor table decaf americano at Uyang Museum café: Bibibidang

In short

Bibibidang Gyeongju is a tea and coffee café on the first floor of the Uyang Museum in Gyeongju's Bomun District. Sitting at an outdoor table with her mom and husband, the writer had a decaf americano, a café latte and a strawberry latte, plus complimentary dasik (traditional sweets) and nut chocolate. If you want coffee, art and a grassy walking path all in one visit, Bibibidang Gyeongju is a great choice.

Past the Gyeongju Hilton and into the Uyang Museum — arrived at Bibibidang Gyeongju!

I loved the clean vibe and distinctive drinks here on my last visit, so this time I came back with my mom. Once a place turns out to be good, I always want to bring my parents back.

A café inside the Uyang Museum

Bibibidang Gyeongju sits inside the Uyang Museum, so you can sip coffee and browse art at the same time — a real Bomun District find. The scenery around the museum is lovely too, making it worth a stop every time you're in Bomun.

The museum currently has a Snoopy exhibition on, and I love Snoopy, so I'm definitely going back to see it before it ends.

Wide lawn and walking space in front of the museum

Bibibidang Gyeongju also has wide lawns and walking paths, giving it a different feel from a typical café. It's not a grab-your-coffee-and-go spot — it's a place to slow down and wander around.

The mood inside

Step inside and you're greeted by a clean, calm interior. The artworks placed around the space give Bibibidang Gyeongju its own distinct atmosphere. It feels like visiting a café and a museum at once.

We took an outdoor table

On a day like this, staying indoors felt like a waste, so we sat at an outdoor table instead. Coming back on a warm day revealed a whole new side of Bibibidang's charm. The sunshine was warm, the breeze just right — perfect weather to sit outside. Looking out over the open scenery instead of being boxed in indoors made me feel unexpectedly relaxed.

Why does coffee always taste better outdoors on a nice day? Sipping slowly while looking out over the Bomun District scenery made everything feel more relaxed than usual.

Decaf americano at Bibibidang Gyeongju

Decaf americano

My husband's decaf americano. Great coffee aroma with a clean, refined bean flavor. Definitely worth the price.

A cup of café latte at Bibibidang Gyeongju

Café latte and strawberry latte

My mom's café latte. Smooth and nutty! The coffee's slight bitterness pairs beautifully with the milk's softness. If you prefer a mellower coffee over a strong americano, the café latte is the one to get.

The strawberry latte was pretty just to look at. The strawberry color instantly brightened up the whole table — a drink like this gets photographed before it gets drunk. The sweetness of the strawberry blended with the milk makes it a great pick for non-coffee drinkers or anyone who loves a sweeter drink.

Nut chocolate served alongside the drinks

The chocolate that came alongside was packed with nuts. Getting a dessert on top of everything else — what a bonus.

There were plenty of other desserts on display, but we had to head to dinner soon, so I couldn't order any.

Drip bag gift sets on display in the store

50% off drip bag gift sets

With Chuseok coming up soon, they were selling drip bag gift sets at 50% off...! An ₩11,000 product for ₩5,500? The packaging is pretty too, making it a great Chuseok gift. Even if it's not for gifting, the price is low enough that drip bag lovers should stock up.

Why I want to come back

When you're looking for a good café in Gyeongju, everyone in the group usually has different tastes, so I really appreciated the range here — coffee, traditional tea, sweet drinks, all on one menu. There's also a walking path behind the café where you can stroll with the baby while taking in the outdoor scenery.

Coffee, art, outdoor scenery and a stroll all in one place — Bibibidang Gyeongju comes recommended!
