Household goods are the kind of thing where you always need one more item, so I keep ending up looking for a place where I can browse a bunch of products at once.

This time I was looking for home goods in Seohae, Incheon and ended up at On Saenghwal, near Seogu-cheong Station.

Where is On Saenghwal, and what does the entrance look like?

On Saenghwal is a home goods store using the 1st and 2nd floors of the Seonmin Building at 57 Takok-ro, Seohae-gu, Incheon, South Korea, near Seogu-cheong Station. The first thing that caught my eye when I arrived was a refrigerator set up outside.

Looking inside, they also sell food and bread, which felt a little unexpected — I'd assumed it was only a home goods store.

What the 1st floor of On Saenghwal sells

On the 1st floor of On Saenghwal there's a checkout counter, and stationery and various other products are displayed around it. This Seohae home goods store is divided by floor, which made it easy to look around.

There's everything from small everyday necessities like stationery to all sorts of other items, so I checked them out one by one.

Even when I go to a home goods store meaning to buy just one thing, I always end up browsing everything else — there was such a variety here that it was fun to take my time.

What I especially liked was that it's not a store selling just one category, but several kinds of home goods together. If you need to buy household goods in Seohae, Incheon, On Saenghwal!!

The first thing that caught my eye as soon as I got to the 2nd floor of On Saenghwal was the group-buy zone. Various products were gathered separately there, and it was a different kind of fun from browsing regularly sold items.

Retro snacks are also up for group-buy right now!

Group-buy items are sold at relatively low prices, so I found myself checking whether there was anything I needed.

With household goods, the price difference matters more the more often you use something, so having discounted products gathered like this was handy for finding what I needed.

I'm moving next year and will be buying appliances, so I think I'll do some serious price comparison here haha.

So I'd say it's worth checking out the group-buy zone first before looking at anything else once you're on the 2nd floor.

How the 2nd floor is sorted by category

The 2nd floor of On Saenghwal has products divided by category, making it easy to find what you're looking for. Prices are cheap too, and it feels different from Daiso.

They even sell tropical fish and goldfish

They sell pajamas, vests, and lounge pants too haha, and basic T-shirts are cheap too!

From kitchen items to household organizing and cleaning supplies, the variety was wide, and having everything sorted by product group made it easy to browse and find what I needed.

I usually buy the things I need online, but comparing several products in person like this turned out to be more fun than I expected.

You can immediately check the actual size and shape of a product, and it got me thinking again about what I actually need at home.

What I ended up buying at On Saenghwal was a ttukbaegi (stone pot). I hadn't planned to buy one specifically, but as I looked around the store I thought it would be great for making soup or stew at home, so I picked one out.

At a home goods store, there's a certain fun in browsing and stumbling onto something you'd needed all along.
