How to get to Tteudon Magok Branch from Magok Station

Even before visiting, my expectations were already UP because this is the restaurant Jjuyang picked — 'Tteudon.' If Jjuyang ate here and loved it, I can trust it completely, haha. I visited without knowing this beforehand, but once I saw it, it definitely gave off famous-restaurant vibes.

Thanks to this standing signboard, I found the place without much trouble. Once you're inside the building it's easy to get lost, so having a sign like this really helps. Tteudon has other branches besides Magok — I used to order delivery from here often, so I quickly placed my order for the menu.

The three dishes ordered at Tteudon Magok Branch

I ordered three items: cheese cutlet, Tteudon cutlet, and kong-guksu (soybean noodle soup). The menu is really varied, so it was fun to choose. And they sell kong-guksu here too — this was my first kong-guksu of the year, at Tteudon Magok Branch.

These days more than half the restaurants I visit have you order through a machine. Ordering by kiosk means no mistakes with the order and you can pay right away, which is nice. It's also convenient when there's a group, since no one has to memorize the order — everyone just picks their own. The office's youngest employees must have it so much easier now, haha. It's so much more convenient when each person can just select their own order.

Inside the restaurant: clean and spacious

This Seoul Botanic Park-area restaurant, Tteudon, turned out to be bigger than I expected. The store is clean with plenty of tables, so you don't need to worry about seating even if you come with a group.

What's on the free self bar at Tteudon Magok Branch

One of the perks of this pork cutlet specialist, Tteudon, is the self bar. Banchan (side dishes) are a given, but there's also udon broth, soup, morning bread, and even tteokbokki!!! There's strawberry jam too, meant to go with the morning bread.

Soup is such a small thing, but when you haven't had it in a while it tastes amazing. You just can't get that taste at home. I scooped up two bowls.

And tteokbokki on top of everything else... I really recommend visiting in person instead of ordering delivery! You can use the self bar as much as you like^^ It's not in the photo, but there's also morning bread and ice cream.

How the pork cutlet tastes at Tteudon, a spot approved by mukbang star Tzuyang

If you ask for the sauce on the side when ordering the cutlet, you can get it separately. The one with sauce is the cheese cutlet, and the one without sauce is the Tteudon cutlet.

My first kong-guksu of the year. The broth is genuinely nutty and rich. I ended up ordering it because the staff's confident description while I was ordering completely won me over, and I ate it happily.

The taste is great, but honestly the portions here are huge. And the salad isn't just plain lettuce, either — they give you a generous European-style salad with really tasty dressing.

The salad was so good I think I ate almost all of it myself.

The cheese cutlet is a perfect match for kids' taste buds. If you're visiting with children, definitely try this one.

This Seoul restaurant in Magok really knows how to do kong-guksu. The noodle portion is generous too.

The cutlet was so crispy. Delivery is good too, but freshly fried cutlet in the store is really the best.

They shared a great tip — grab a piece of morning bread, stuff it with cutlet and salad, and eat it that way. It sounded delicious, but I was already way too full.........

Ice cream to finish, plus the weekday lunch discount and 2-hour parking

Even when I'm full, ice cream is a must. There are various flavors to choose from too.

It's located near the entrance, and I could just picture the lunchtime scene at this Seoul Botanic Park-area restaurant — everyone walking out after their meal, each holding an ice cream in hand.

The weekday lunch discount event seems well worth taking advantage of. I'm a little jealous of the office workers in the area.
