This time I took Nini's passport photo and then got pork cutlet near Magok Station. It's a baby-friendly restaurant, so I think it'd be a great option for anyone visiting nearby Seoul Botanic Park. So let's start the review of the pork cutlet spot, Tteudon Magok Branch (뜨돈 마곡점).
Where is Tteudon Magok Branch, and where do you park?
Tteudon Magok Branch is a 3-minute walk from Exit 4 or 5 of Magok Station on Line 5, on the 2nd floor of the Magok Queens Park 12 building. Parking is free for 2 hours in the building's basement lot — just give your license plate number when you pay. Hours are 10:30 to 21:00 (last order 20:30).
Tteudon in Magok has great accessibility since it's so close to Magok Station. It's convenient by public transit, and the parking lot is spacious too, so parking was easy. It was really nice to get to and visit with kids.
If you turn right from the main elevator, you can find your way by following the sign — just so you know! There was plenty of open space in the basement parking too, so parking was easy.
Tteudon Magok menu and kiosk ordering
Tteudon Magok Branch has a wide range of food, not just pork cutlets but also pasta, rice bowls, and noodle dishes like udon, so there were lots of options. In particular, there were a lot of things that are exactly to kids' taste, so it seemed good to eat with a child.
You order directly at the kiosk, and there's a card reader so you can pay in one go. Cash payment is possible too, and receipts can be printed — so take part in the receipt event and get a soda or cheese balls!
Inside Tteudon Magok Branch: seating and layout
The interior of Tteudon Magok Branch was clean and open, in white tones. Luckily I visited after the mealtime rush, so I could take photos freely. There were plenty of varied tables, so it looked like it could handle group guests too.
By the window there are 4-6 person tables as well as 2-person tables, so solo dining looked possible too.
There's a self-serve drawer next to the table where you can freely take out wet wipes, tissues, and fork/spoon/knife.
And now, the big one — the kids' zone!! I mean, a kids' zone at a pork cutlet place..!? It's small but well put together. With mat flooring, dolls, and even a game box, it's a space that little kids like Nini as well as elementary schoolers could enjoy.
What's on the free self-bar at Tteudon Magok Branch?
At the self-bar at Tteudon Magok Branch, along with tableware, various simple foods are provided free and refillable. They give you soup, pickled radish/kkakdugi/jalapeños, plus tteokbokki, bread, and soup — and the quality was better than I expected, which surprised me.
I'd seen reviews saying it's a great spot for tteokbokki, and it really was delicious haha. Be sure to sprinkle pepper on the soup!
Amazingly, Tteudon in Magok even provides dessert. They give out free ice cream, and you can even take it with you, which was nice. There were even several flavors to choose from!!
As I nibbled away while waiting for the food, the main dish arrived before I knew it.
Tteudon-katsu and the 8,900-won cold udon: how they tasted
What I ordered was Tteudon Magok Branch's signature menu, 'tteudon-katsu.' It's the classic Western-style pork cutlet flavor, but the sauce is sweet and tangy with a nice savory kick. It comes with corn salad, a basic side salad, and rice.
The frying at Tteudon in Magok is really something special — tender meat with a crispy coating that was so delicious.
The cold udon had thick noodles in a cold buckwheat-noodle broth. At a nice price of 8,900 won, the portion was really big. Personally, I felt it'd be a shame to eat it alone as a single dish — it feels more like a side to share when visiting with two or more people.

Visiting Tteudon Magok Branch with a baby, the baby-friendly atmosphere of the restaurant made for a really satisfying meal.
From a parent's perspective, it was convenient to have things to keep the baby occupied during the food wait.
