In short
Raymond Isu Branch is a pizza restaurant near Isu Station in Dongjak, Seoul, serving American-style pizza and craft beer. After a 1 p.m. reservation, I shared the Mond Set's four pizzas, truffle fries, boneless fried chicken, and a Belgian wit ale with a friend. Pizza lunch with a friend at Isu Station
I met up with a friend at Isu Station, where Lines 4 and 7 meet, to have a meal and catch up. Exit 9 right nearby was under construction, so we came out through Exit 10—but I think Exits 7 or 8 would be closer and better.

Raymond Isu Branch (레이몬드 이수점), where we had our Isu pizza lunch, had such a pretty exterior that it really stood out. Looking at this building alone felt a little like traveling somewhere in the States! People with no sense of direction like us can easily walk right past if a building's sign is not obvious, haha. Today was the day for American-style pizza and craft beer for lunch!

Lunch sets and a window seat
Lunch sets start at ₩9,900, so they are really good value too. The big cheese pizza lunch set includes fries and a drink. There are also big pepperoni, big Hawaiian pizza, and big macaroni pizza lunch sets, so nearby office workers and locals can order whatever suits their taste without feeling burdened.

To chat away to our hearts' content, we had to avoid the busy hours, so we made a 1 p.m. reservation. By then, the office workers had all gone back to work, and we could sit by the window and have a relaxed meal.

There is a separate self-service bar near the kitchen. Water, green tea, hovenia tea, hot sauce, peperoncino, tissues, and more are ready for you, so you can take what you need without any fuss.

Just in case I got clumsy and showed everyone I had been eating pizza, I put on one of the disposable nonwoven aprons they provide. It lets you eat neatly.

Pizza and Belgian wit ale
I heard Raymond Isu Branch is known for its craft draft beer, so we were going to choose one that paired well with pizza. We picked a Belgian wit ale, a fresh and fragrant Belgian wheat beer. A beer described as having that youthful, pure character could only make me excited! They told us it tastes similar to the Hoegaarden we know. You can tell the owner your beer preferences and get a craft beer recommendation.

The hovenia tea and such were chilled and filled up in water pitchers, so it was nice to pour myself a glass between bites of pizza.

Since we were having daytime drinks, we simply ordered one beer and shared it. Pizza is a drinking snack in the evening, but at lunch it is the main meal, after all~ There was not even a hint of bitterness; it was fresh and clean, and the satisfaction had my friend and me smiling without even trying.

Four pizzas and sides in the Mond Set
Our Mond Set finally arrived: four generous pizza slices, truffle fries, and boneless fried chicken! If you have this as a drinking snack, the house's trademark craft beer would go down so smoothly that you might end up completely stuffed.

With macaroni pizza and all, it was the moment we finally landed in pizza heaven. Oh, we were so eager to eat that we cut the slices in half with a knife like this. Only later did we notice that there was not only a pizza server underneath, but also a round pizza cutter, haha.

Pizza just tastes best when you pick it up with your hands, doesn't it? There was plenty for the two of us to eat as much as we wanted, so no need to worry.

Enjoying this Isu pizza lunch dusted with cheese powder at Raymond Isu Branch made for such a happy time.

Pizza alone can get a little dull, so we also dipped the crispy boneless fried chicken into sauce between slices. There were several sauce flavors too, and they kept making me want another dip. Sauce lovers will be thrilled by the generous variety of sauces~^^

These thin shoestring fries are not just the usual familiar fries. They are truffle fries, with quite an upscale flavor.

And if things got a little rich in the middle, a bite of pickle fixed it right away.

Yes, so this is the moment when the pizza-and-beer pairing I skipped a few days ago finally came true~

Hot sauce and peperoncino from the self-service corner. Do not pour on too much at once—go carefully, little by little~

After cleaning my hands with the wet wipes provided, I folded the pizza into a zigzag shape that was easy to eat by hand. Of course, it tastes amazing that way~

Customers kept coming after lunch
Pizzas kept coming out nonstop. Even though lunch hours had passed, customers came in for afternoon snacks, and the place was nearly full by the time we left. Meet your friends at this conveniently located pizza restaurant near Isu Station and try a good mix of pizza flavors. And look for a craft beer flavor you love too!
