Today I visited Dojeok Suwon, a restaurant with an amazing 20-year history on Nahyeseok-geori in Inge-dong!! 🥳 The quality of the meat was great, and staff grilled it for us so we could eat comfortably! Here's my honest review, menu, prices, and store info after enjoying pork belly, pork neck, and brisket flap to the fullest at this hidden gem on Nahyeseok-geori.

Come out of Exit 9 at Suwon City Hall Station and walk a little into the Nahyeseok-geori restaurant alley, and it's right there — easy to find! Great location near the subway, and with all that space, it's already well known among office workers in Inge-dong as a group dinner spot 👍

Side dishes, soybean powder and spicy sauce, complimentary doenjang jjigae

The side dishes were set out quickly as soon as we sat down!

Crisp, refreshing salad, bean sprout scallion salad that pairs perfectly with the meat, and fresh lettuce wraps — all served neatly!!

What really sets Dojeok apart is the sauce! They serve nutty, savory soybean powder alongside a spicy-sweet sauce, and every time you dip the meat in it, the flavor is so rich that you never get tired of it, even down to the last bite ~~🤤

And the doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) that comes as a free side is honestly amazing...! It tasted as rich and satisfying as if I'd ordered it separately, and the broth was perfect to sip between bites of meat 🤍

I ordered a good mix of Dojeok's signature menu items — pork belly, brisket flap, and pork neck!

Here, they first place a thick whole cut of pork belly on the heated stone plate and give it a first grill until the outside is crispy and golden with a juicy inside. Once it's cooked enough, the staff take it away and bring it back cut into neat, even pieces from the kitchen ✨

No need to cut the whole pork belly with scissors at the table — such a relief!

Plus, the staff carefully grilled the meat for us at the start, so we just got to relax and talk while eating — such a great deal ~~

I dipped a well-cooked piece of meat into the soybean powder, added a bit of spicy sauce, and wrapped it up with scallion salad... the juices burst in my mouth, and I understood why this is a 20-year legendary pork belly spot in Inge-dong ☺️🙌🏻

The brisket flap and pork neck had a chewy, slightly crunchy texture that was the best 🤤💚

Attentive service, even without asking

As we enjoyed the meat, the grill plate got a little scorched, and even though we didn't say anything, the staff smartly noticed and swapped it out for us! Thanks to their attentiveness to even the small details, the whole meal felt really pleasant 🤍
