Suwon brunch café: 4 bagels boxed for 29,900 won at Orange Bagel

In short

Orange Bagel is a three-story bakery and brunch café on Omokcheon-ro in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon. On a weekday afternoon visit, four bagels — Laugen, angbutter (red bean and butter), double cream and bacon scallion — came to 29,900 won boxed for takeout, after a look around the second-floor seating and the third-floor rooftop, and were eaten at home with hibiscus tea. The Laugen bagel, with its dense chew and pops of salt, was the winner of the day.

What does the Laugen bagel at Orange Bagel taste like?

If a plain bagel is regular coffee, the Laugen bagel is TOP...

The outside has a slight firm bite, but as you get toward the center it turns soft and chewy — really fun to chew through.

Plain but never boring, salty but you keep reaching for more! On days when a sweet bagel feels like too much, a Laugen bagel like this is just right.

One bite in and the chewy bagel texture floods your mouth with that distinctly salty, nutty Laugen flavor, you know?

Mmm... is there a good Laugen bagel place near me anywhere?

After placing my takeout order, I headed up to the 2nd floor~ Even on a weekday afternoon there were plenty of guests. The 2nd floor has a different concept in every corner, so it's fun just wandering around.

5th Menu

Okay, let's start with the Laugen bagel. The name felt unfamiliar at first, but it's the kind you can enjoy for that distinctly pretzel-like chewiness. Chewy elasticity plus a crunchy hit of salt — you don't get tired of it.
