The table setting: diced radish kimchi and salad
After we finished ordering at Filling Donkatsu, our Yongbong-dong, Gwangju date spot for tonkatsu and pasta, the basic table setup arrived. The diced radish kimchi (kkakdugi) was so good we refilled it a few times, haha. The salad was nice and tangy too — perfect for building up an appetite, haha.

Free soup and grapefruit ade
At Filling Donkatsu Yongbong Branch, our Yongbong-dong, Gwangju date spot for tonkatsu and pasta, they also serve soup for free, and it's rich and delicious. Sprinkle a little pepper on it and it's perfect, hahaha. The grapefruit ade wasn't too fizzy either, so it was totally my style! Ah, all it needed was some bread to dip in the soup and it would've been perfect, hahaha — suddenly I was craving bread to dip, hahaha.

Sweet potato king cheese tonkatsu: big enough for two adults and a child
And now, the sweet potato king cheese tonkatsu that Shushu had been dying to eat today at Filling Donkatsu, our Yongbong-dong, Gwangju date spot for tonkatsu and pasta!!! Haha. I hadn't bought her sweet potato tonkatsu in a while, so she'd been singing about wanting it today, hahaha, so we went with Shushu's pick. Inside the sweet potato cheese tonkatsu at Filling Donkatsu, our Yongbong-dong, Gwangju date spot for tonkatsu and pasta, the cheese really poured out like a waterfall, hahaha. I thought she didn't really eat cheese, but she ate it really well today, so I guess I'll have to buy it for her again, haha. If you need more sauce, just ask and they'll give you extra — worth keeping in mind!

Is the shrimp toowoomba pasta too spicy for kids?
Next up was the shrimp toowoomba pasta at Filling, our Yongbong-dong, Gwangju date spot for tonkatsu and pasta. It's spicier than rosé pasta, so keep that in mind if you're eating with a child. For adult tastebuds it was just the right amount of spicy, so I enjoyed it even more, and paired with the tonkatsu, which can be a bit heavy, the combination worked really well! Haha.

Paying the bill and tips on your way out
On your way out of Filling, our Yongbong-dong, Gwangju date spot for tonkatsu and pasta, be sure to grab a candy on the way out, hahaha. Gwangju Sangsaeng Card and Onnuri Card are both accepted, which is such a nice touch!!
