My husband and I are both spice addicts — when we're bored, we go hunting for spicy food, and even when we're eating the same dish, we'd rather have it spicy haha. Among all spicy foods, stir-fried jjukkumi is always a yes for us, any time. So off we went again to this restaurant/bar/eatery in Duam-dong, Gwangju, where the jjukkumi, pork belly, and even the fried rice are all free (unlimited)! Sin Jjukkumi Unlimited Refill Duam Branch.
How much is the jjukkumi buffet? Pork belly for 2,000 won more
Restaurant interior, menu board, and unlimited refill pricing

They open at 4pm, so we went for an early dinner around 5pm. If you just want the jjukkumi refill, it's ₩21,500 for adults/middle-high schoolers, ₩15,000 for elementary schoolers, ₩6,000 for ages 6-7, and free for age 5 and under!
If you want the full jjukkumi + fresh pork belly + shaved pork belly option, it's ₩23,500 for adults/middle-high schoolers — just ₩2,000 more — and the rest of the age tiers stay the same. So... for just ₩2,000 more you can eat pork belly and shaved pork belly too, so we ordered the ₩23,500 course x2 haha. Unlimited soju/beer is also available for ₩10,000 per person!
What's on the self-bar, boiled eggs included
Unlimited pork belly / shaved pork belly / Sin Jjukkumi and the self-bar

We ordered and went straight to grab the meat and jjukkumi, picking up a few extra things from the self-bar too — and look, there are boiled eggs right there?! Those taste great mixed with the sauce haha. Piling shaved pork belly on top of the jjukkumi, adding a bit of fresh pork belly, and grabbing an egg too — table's ready!!

Split grill: cooking jjukkumi and pork belly separately
The grill itself is oddly designed too — it's split in half, so you can cook jjukkumi on one side and meat on the other haha. Something like this would actually be handy to have at home... I kind of want to buy one, wonder where they sell it haha. We put fresh pork belly on the left, and jjukkumi with shaved pork belly on the right!

How spicy is the jjukkumi, and the best lettuce wrap combo
Pork belly cooks faster than jjukkumi, so we ate the pork belly first while the jjukkumi was still cooking haha. The pork belly wasn't too thick or too thin, just the right thickness to cook quickly, so it was nice to grill it and eat it right away.
And once the jjukkumi is nearly done, they add bean sprouts at the end to reduce it down further, and wrapping it with perilla leaf + pickled radish + jjukkumi-pork combo + corn + mayo — seriously, you can't stop eating haha. But since it's unlimited, there's no need to worry about running out, just go grab more until you're full!
The spice level wasn't super hot, just slightly spicy? So it was a mild level that pretty much anyone could handle. It would've been nice if it were a bit spicier... but we still enjoyed it a lot haha (there were chili peppers at the self-bar so we added those in).
Free fried rice to finish the meal
Finishing fried rice

I always say this, but what's the final course after a spicy red sauce meal? Korea's dessert, fried rice haha. Weirdly, if I don't eat this... I feel let down and disappointed??? Since it's free with no extra charge anyway, don't hold back and go for it!
For the fried rice, we brought over more jjukkumi and shaved pork belly, and once it was nearly cooked, we cut it up small with scissors, added the rice, stir-fried it, and pressed it thin — and we used both sides of the grill at once to evaporate more moisture haha.
Why Sin Jjukkumi works well for two people
When you order Sin Jjukkumi or jjukkumi-pork belly, there's always that slightly frustrating moment where the portion feels a bit short, or you want more meat, or more jjukkumi — but here it's unlimited, so you can eat exactly as much as you want of whatever you want, which is great. A great-value meal out for two in Duam-dong!
