The 1:1 golden sauce ratio at Wolmidang
🍜 The table had tips for enjoying the pho and bún chả at their best, so we mixed up the pickled onion sauce before the food even arrived! Seriously recommend this recipe.
Wolmidang's pho golden ratio: mix sweet hoisin sauce 1 : spicy chili sauce 1 together with the pickled onions!

After a short wait, our whole order arrived at once, and the visuals alone had my mouth watering! ✨

The brisket pho's portion and presentation were seriously impressive~

The bún chả looked so generous and appetizing too!

How to eat the bún chả and how the flame-grilled bulgogi tastes
How to enjoy bún chả: add 1–2 spoonfuls of the bún chả sauce to the pho noodles to loosen them, then dip the vegetables and charcoal-grilled bulgogi together!

We started with the bún chả, following the instructions — added a bit of sauce, loosened the noodles, then paired them with the charcoal-grilled bulgogi and vegetables.

The charcoal-grilled bulgogi with its smoky aroma was seriously delicious,

and I thought, 'This place really knows how to do bún chả.'

The fried meat that came with the bún chả was also really tasty!

The grilled rice balls we ordered alongside were crisped up on the outside and packed with tuna inside — a perfect side dish.
Wolmidang pho with broth simmered for six hours
And now, today's main event — Wolmidang's pho!

True to the six-hour simmered broth, the flavor was rich and deep.

The noodles were perfectly springy too!

Even though we ate ourselves full together, everything felt clean and refreshing, without any heavy or bloated feeling afterward 🤍 True to its 'premium pho' title, the broth, the meat toppings, and the bún chả were all spot-on.. ✨ If you're looking for a lunch spot in Buk-gu, Gwangju that's satisfying but easy on the stomach, definitely give Wolmidang Gwangju Chonnam National University Branch a visit. I'll definitely be back again and again!
