It had been a while since we went on a date in Jeonpo-dong. After enjoying all the fun things to see and browse, hunger hit, so we searched for a good restaurant nearby for a delicious lunch in Jeonpo, Busan. We looked through reviews and debated where to go. Then we found a lunch spot with exceptionally good reviews, and the description of it as a pork cutlet restaurant drew us straight in.
Hets Jeonpo Branch location and what to check before visiting

Checking the location and opening hours beforehand will make this Jeonpo pork cutlet spot easy to find.
What are the wait and bar-style seats like?

There is Catchtable at the entrance, so registering for a wait looks easy when the restaurant is busy.

There are also waiting seats, so you can sit while you wait. Aprons and clothes hangers were prepared separately too, and that attention to keeping your clothes tidy made me feel well looked after.

Inside, the tables are bar-style, which looked great for chatting with friends, enjoying a date like we were, or even dining alone with no problem. This seating arrangement really gave it the feel of a great Jeonpo restaurant in Busan.

Seeing the small but special benefits offered to police officers, national merit recipients, soldiers, firefighters, high school seniors preparing for exams, and pregnant women, I could really feel the owner's warm heart.
Hets Jeonpo Branch katsu menu
There was a wide range of choices, including Jeju black pork premium loin katsu, Jeju black pork loin katsu, YBD premium loin katsu, YBD hire katsu (tenderloin cutlet), YBD loin katsu, and YBD assorted katsu. Brief descriptions at the bottom of the menu helped with choosing. There were also plenty of sando (Japanese sandwiches) and side dishes, which made choosing fun. The menu alone showed the variety you would expect from a great Jeonpo pork cutlet restaurant.
A full spread of YBD loin katsu and Jeju black pork assorted katsu

Here is the delicious full spread we ordered at Hets Jeonpo Branch.

Kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi) and pork cutlet sauce came as the basic sides. The kkakdugi was refreshing and clean-tasting, a real delicacy. It paired so well with the pork cutlet. The care put into even the basic sides made me think, once again, that this was a fine Jeonpo restaurant in Busan.

Whole pepper, salad dressing, truffle oil, and wasabi were set out at the table, so we could add them to suit our tastes.

We ordered the YBD loin katsu, a loin cutlet with just the right amount of fat for a savory richness, for ₩13,000.

Just looking at that bright pink cross-section, I could tell the meat would be top quality before even tasting it.

It was overflowing with juices and looked incredibly moist, with just a little moisture visible. I also loved its plump, substantial appearance.

Rice and soup came with it too, making the meal even more filling and generous. The soup in particular was slightly spicy and rich, with an excellent broth.

We also ordered the Jeju black pork assorted katsu, which came with loin katsu and one piece of hire, for ₩18,000.

First of all, the portion was large and beautifully glossy, so it looked incredibly appetizing.

It was crisp on the outside and moist, tender, and soft inside, practically melting in my mouth. There was absolutely no gaminess; it was so savory and clean-tasting.

It was even better dipped in the pork cutlet sauce. Seriously, it was pure deliciousness. I ate every bite with admiration.

The salad was fresh and its dressing was clean-tasting, making it a good accompaniment to the pork cutlet.

They also gave us iced jelly for dessert, so we could finish with the perfect palate cleanser. I thought this would more than hold its own as a Jeonpo lunch spot.
Thoughts on our Jeonpo-dong lunch date
The meat quality was so good that every mouthful was blissful. One look at the pork cutlet told me why this is a great Jeonpo pork cutlet restaurant. The space was clean, the food was delicious, and it was great value, so I think I will come back often. I would recommend it as a Jeonpo lunch spot that is great to visit at lunchtime. We had a wonderful meal.
