With this scorching summer weather, I've been scared to take my kid outside. But staying home all the time makes her restless too, so we went out to eat as a bit of a change of pace.

My kid loves pasta, so I'm always on the lookout for good places, but eating out with a child means agonizing over the menu and worrying about whether we'll bother the people around us.

So this time I went hunting, picky as ever, for a place that was not just tasty but somewhere we could eat comfortably and coolly with a kid in this heat — and that's how I found Eopu Kitchen.

Once I got there, the vibe and the food quality were both so good I instantly understood why everyone raves about it. For anyone else planning a family meal out with kids, let me share what I noticed in detail.

A Seohae, Incheon restaurant that's easy to stay comfortable in with kids

The moment I walked in, I could tell — it's run by a chef with 18 years of experience — that the interior and atmosphere were both stylish and warm.

Most importantly, in this kind of summer heat, a comfortable indoor environment really matters, and this place was actually selected by 'Mommam,' the No. 1 kids' platform, as a must-visit spot with children. That put my mind at ease even before we arrived. The interior was kept nice and cool, perfect for escaping the heat.

The tables were spaced generously, so bringing a stroller wouldn't get in anyone's way at all, and there was enough room that my kid moving around a bit in her seat wasn't a big deal.

The restroom inside was kept very clean, so I felt at ease even if my kid suddenly needed to go. There were also plenty of kids' chairs available, and I could immediately see why so many families come here.

We ordered Eopu Kitchen's signature panne pasta, plus arugula pepperoni pizza and a house salad.

This place was even recognized as an outstanding business in the Western restaurant category for food service in Seo-gu, Incheon at the '2026 Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation.' My expectations were high, and it exceeded them.

You'd think summer would kill your appetite, but the panne pasta came with such a generous amount of sauce that we had plenty left to dip the bread in right to the end.

Since we were eating with our kid, I worried we'd have to give up the spicy version, but they thoughtfully gave us chili seeds on the side, so the adults could adjust the heat to our own taste — really satisfying.

The arugula pepperoni pizza had a crust that was crisp outside and chewy inside, so my kid ate it up happily, and it was piled high with cheese — the whole family forgot the heat and finished every bite.

Adding the house salad on the side made the whole meal feel really filling.

Would I go back? 100 percent yes

The food was excellent, but more than that, the kid-friendly space let us spend a truly comfortable weekend afternoon without even noticing the heat. My return visit intent is a full 100 percent — I'm already planning to go back soon for another cool bowl of pasta with my kid.
