Coconut latte and misugaru latte at a Starfield Suwon café: Jeong

Went out to Starfield Suwon with Hongchil for a rare outing and some clothes shopping, and stumbled onto this Starfield Suwon café, Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters!!

Jeong Jiyeong Coffee started out in Haenggung-dong and is a legendary Suwon coffee spot, isn't it... I was curious about the Starfield Suwon branch so here's my honest review of Jeong Jiyeong Roasters!

Where is it inside Starfield Suwon?

Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters is one of the best coffee spots at Starfield Suwon, and it was easy to find since it's on the 2nd floor inside Gourmet Street! Perfect for a coffee after a meal.

The biggest reason for today's visit was to try their signature, patented coconut menu item!! Hongsuni is a coconut lover.

There's the coconut saying hi to me (only I'm the one greeting it back haha... ㅠ). Apparently this coconut latte has sold 1.11 million cups and even got a patent.

Store atmosphere and things to look at

The interior was neatly arranged, exactly the clean, classic look that feels distinctly Jeong Jiyeong.

There's a thoughtful little space set up where you can sample the aroma of the beans.

Here and there you can also buy beans or accessory goods (the Suwoni character), so there was plenty to browse.

They also sell colorful bags of beans directly, so it was great for sniffing and buying on the spot.

They were also selling tasty cookies, madeleines, cakes and other snacks. If I'd had the time, I would have loved to try the seasonal fig sandwich cookie or fig cake.

In one corner you can watch coffee being roasted, so even taking it to go, there was no shortage of things to look at!

Seating and waits?

Tables and chairs were simply arranged, making this Starfield café — one of Suwon's best coffee spots — a nice place to rest a bit.

There's also a café seating area further inside the store, so on weekends there's definitely a wait, I'm telling you!

There's a mirror overhead too, which adds to the fun of taking a photo.

Coconut latte and misugaru latte taste

There were lots of menu options available, but you have to try Jeong Jiyeong Roasters' signature coconut, right!?

Since it was there, I also ordered a misugaru latte — the nutty flavor that's my Hongchil's taste.

Not long after, the misugaru latte and the coconut arrived. The misugaru latte tasted exactly as expected from the name, but it was super sweet, nutty, and rich!

Truly, just like the name suggests — cool, smooth, sweet coconut milk topped with coffee foam, that mellow taste.

It was so much Hongsuni's taste, and what can I say about the harmony of coconut and coffee! No need to go all the way to Vietnam...

Jeong Jiyeong Coffee's coconut latte really is a rich, smooth, upscale kind of sweetness, and now I understand why it's sold 1.11 million cups.
