Summer latte with decaf beans at Starfield Suwon café: Jeong Jiyeong

Went to Starfield to shop, but I just can't pass up good coffee haha. While browsing around, I stopped by Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters (정지영커피로스터즈) Starfield Suwon branch to take a quick break.

Starfield has so much to see, and after walking around for a while you naturally start craving a coffee — this place caught my eye so I went in!

Outside the café

Was browsing Starfield and started craving coffee so headed straight to Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters ☕️🤎 Since it's inside Starfield it wasn't hard to find at all, and even just walking past you could feel that distinct Jeong Jiyeong vibe haha.

Inside the café — dessert case and MD goods

Stepping inside, there wasn't just coffee but a whole range of desserts and MD goods too, so it was fun just looking around! The showcase in particular had a pretty wide variety of desserts, great for picking something to go with your coffee. If you like bread or desserts, it's hard to just walk past this visual lol.

You could just stop for a coffee while shopping at Starfield, but it also seemed nice to pick out a dessert too and take your time relaxing.

And off to one side there were various MD goods on display too. Things like cups and merch that coffee lovers might be interested in — I browsed while waiting for our drinks haha.

Menu board and ordering

The menu had quite a variety too, from coffee to lattes to teas, and several kinds of desserts, so we spent a while deciding what to get lol 🍰☕️ We ended up ordering an iced americano and a summer latte! Can't pass up an iced Americano after shopping 😎🧊

The summer latte's name made us curious so we picked that one too — it's a menu item that people who like sweet lattes would enjoy haha. Besides coffee, there were so many desserts prepared that you end up coming for just a coffee and leaving having ordered dessert too...🤭 Next time I want to try the other desserts one by one!

You could also choose the beans, so I got the summer latte made with decaf beans.

What we ordered — iced americano and summer latte

What we ordered that day was an iced americano and a summer latte. I of course went with the iced americano lol, and got the summer latte too since I was curious.

Iced americano

First, the iced americano I ordered! Can't pass up an iced americano while shopping lol. Packed with ice and refreshingly cold, it felt like it washed away all the fatigue from walking around.. Clean coffee flavor that would pair well with a dessert too! I'm on a diet so I barely resisted getting one 😇

Summer latte

And the summer latte I ordered out of curiosity! On top of a nutty latte sits delicious Sanghamokjang ice cream, giving it a soft, different flavor from the iced americano — great for ordering together and sharing! If you like sweet, smooth coffee, I think you'd like the summer latte even more haha. Having both drinks side by side was nice since you could pick based on your mood!

Why it was a good break during Starfield shopping

That day we simply enjoyed a coffee break with an iced americano and a summer latte ☕️ What I liked most was being able to browse desserts and MD goods too, not just drinks. If you're looking for a place to rest for a bit while browsing Starfield, this seems worth a stop! Next time I'll order dessert too and have a proper café time ❤️🔥
