Dry scalp but also oily — my dilemma
My scalp is usually itchy and dry, so even after washing my hair my scalp often didn't feel comfortable. Lately scalp flakes have gotten noticeably worse too — when I scratch, white flakes fall out, but if I just use a strong-cleansing product it feels way too dry.
I've had my scalp checked at a few places before and heard the same thing every time..! Dry scalp but also oily, plus some redness. On the surface it looked like simple dry-scalp flaking, but once I actually got it examined it turned out to need more care than I thought...? So this time, instead of just getting a haircut, I wanted to properly manage my scalp too, so I visited Eco Revy Hair Ewha Branch near Ewha Station :)

I'd gotten a hippie perm a few months ago.. and my hair was so hot in the summer and the ends were really damaged, so I decided to just chop it short!
Even just from this you can tell my scalp looks red, right..?

My hair usually felt like it fell heavy, but once they added layers, the overall silhouette got noticeably lighter. Before the head spa, they carefully checked my scalp condition first, looked it over thoroughly, and explained exactly what care they'd be doing.
Draining essential oil. They used an oil that helps promote lymphatic circulation, relax muscles, and relieve stress.
To remove flakes and buildup, they used two products to soften the scalp and then had me wait.
After softening it enough, on to the head spa. That massage chair is so good..? Could I please just do the head spa forever?
Cleansing thoroughly with a scalp scaling shampoo — let's get rid of buildup and toxins.!!!!!
Apparently the infrared step in a head spa is usually there to warm the scalp so it helps you relax and feel comfortable.

After the head spa and drying, they finished with the layered cut once more — done!!!!! They matched the reference photo I showed them so closely that I was really happy.
