I heard there was a Western-style restaurant around Euljiro where you could enjoy everything from steak to a buffet at a reasonable price, so I went for a delicious lunch! It had a well-curated menu and even a high-quality flat iron steak.

Getting to Hotel Kukdo Patio from Euljiro 4-ga Station

Location & parking information

Hotel Kukdo Patio (호텔국도 파티오) is on the second floor of Hotel Kukdo, about a two-minute walk (130m) from Exit 10 of Euljiro 4-ga Station on Lines 2 and 5, so it was easy to find even on a first visit! Since it is in a hotel, guests arriving by car can use the hotel's parking and valet service. Its location near the subway also makes it handy for nearby office workers' lunch gatherings or team dinners.

Once I stepped into the Patio buffet, the open window seating and upscale interior immediately caught my eye! It was a space with that clean, warm feeling unique to a hotel.

The highlight at Hotel Kukdo Patio is definitely the unlimited sake and matcha! Being able to enjoy as much fragrant, clean-tasting sake and pleasantly bitter matcha as I wanted made it feel like such great value.

Asian buffet menu selection

There was a varied selection of Asian buffet dishes, starting with fresh salads that woke up the palate with savory flavor.

There were all these different Asian dishes, making it nice to try a little of this and that. Rather than having an overwhelming number of options, it felt like the key dishes were all there.

The ₩29,800 lunch Asian buffet had plenty of Japanese and Korean options, and the seasoning was spot-on while each buffet dish was good quality.

Another thing I found fascinating was that you could use a machine to cook different Japanese ramen varieties fresh to order.

Cold soba

I needed something to settle my stomach that day, so I downed a whole bowl of naengmomil, cold buckwheat noodles! The broth was rich and the noodles still had a great bite, so it was delicious.

The main dishes were flat iron steak and tomato pasta! The steak was a thick 140g cut, cooked just right. The nicely seared meat was full of juices and cut through its own richness beautifully—it was fantastic.

Hotel Kukdo Patio offered a high-quality lunch buffet where I could enjoy hotel cooking at a reasonable price in a pleasant setting. Thanks to the thoughtful menu selection and spacious, comfortable space, it was an excellent Euljiro 4-ga restaurant for a lunch team dinner or a delicious meal on a special day.
