My husband's hair had become limp and shaggy, so we booked a visit to Ieum Men's Hair Bucheon City Hall Station Branch (이움 맨즈헤어 부천시청역점). This time, he received an iron perm, down perm, and cut together. I came with the children and looked around the treatment process and waiting area.

What was the one-person private treatment room like?

Each treatment space was a private room for one person. My husband liked that he did not have to worry about the person in the next seat.

The shampoo room was also separate. When we visited, there was plenty of room for shampoo appointments without much waiting.

What was the order of the iron perm and down perm?

My husband first completed a basic questionnaire. Once he finished it, he changed into a gown and prepared for the treatment.

It seemed to have been about six months since his last full perm, and some curls remained. In the meantime, he had only received down perms.

After looking at my husband's hair type and style, the salon manager carried out the iron perm, down perm, and cut. They started with the cut, shampooed his hair, and then began the perm.

During the perm, they sprayed on a scalp protectant and also gave him a hair treatment.

With the down perm and iron perm done together, they first built up volume. Afterward, they shampooed his hair and set the curls with a curling iron. The manager explained that this iron perm focused on adding volume rather than creating tight, curly waves.

I stepped away briefly because the children called me, and when I returned, the neutralizing process was underway.

At the end, they blow-dried his hair and tidied the back and sideburn lines.

How did the volume and hairstyle change after the treatment?

When my husband looked in the mirror afterward, he was pleased that his hair looked neater. From my perspective, his previously limp hair had more volume, and the cut and line cleanup made the overall look more tidy.

On this visit, I was pleased not only with my husband's result but also with the private room and waiting area. We were briefly confused while finding the salon at first, but it was comfortable for us to stay there with the children.
