Paju dog-friendly café weekend crowds, black sesame donuts: Heuksadang
In short
Heuksadang is a two-story handmade donut café on Heyri Village-gil in Paju, Gyeonggi. Visiting on a busy weekend afternoon with every table full, the writer grabbed a seat first before ordering an americano, passionfruit ade, a black sesame donut, and a crème brûlée donut. With cream practically spilling out and even a dog-friendly pupuccino on the menu, it's a solid pick for a dog-accompanied outing in Paju.

Heuksadang is so famous for its donuts that so many people around me kept recommending it, and I'd been meaning to finally go — and I finally did!!! Visiting in person, the donuts were just as good as the rumors said and the space was so pretty too, so I was really satisfied. Want to see how it went?!?!

When I arrived, the building itself already looked so nice!! I was a bit worried about parking, but there's a big dedicated lot right in front of the café, so I parked easily and walked in haha. The weather's getting a bit cooler now too, so I thought eating donuts at an outdoor table would be really nice~ It's also right in the Heyri area, so it's a perfect stop on a Heyri Village date course hahaha.

The vibe on the 1st and 2nd floors, and dog-friendliness
Stepping inside, the café is split across two floors, and with the high ceilings there's no cramped feeling at all — the space felt really airy. And this is a dog-friendly café in Paju where you can bring your pup along!!

Looking at the menu board, they even sell a separate pupuccino for dogs, so I thought it'd be really nice to come back for a Paju date with my dog sometime...

Looking at the donuts lined up in the display case, there were so many kinds that I agonized for a while over what to get ㅠㅠ Besides donuts, there were also lots of drinks like coffee and ade, and even bingsu (shaved ice dessert)!! The donut boxes were also neatly packaged, making them perfect to buy as gifts haha.
On weekends, grab a table first

We went on a weekend and there were seriously an insane number of people,,, Even with two whole floors, I'm not exaggerating, there wasn't a single empty table left.. If you're planning to go on a weekend, you absolutely have to grab a seat the moment you walk in before you order!! We barely managed to get a table, then stood in line and ordered an americano, passionfruit ade, black sesame donut, and crème brûlée donut hehe.

When our drinks and donuts came out and we picked them up, the visuals alone had me drooling 🤤

How the crème brûlée donut and black sesame donut tasted
The americano was clean and paired well with the donuts, and the passionfruit ade was sweet and tangy with the best refreshing quality. Enjoying delicious desserts in a pretty café like this — that's what weekend healing looks like 😆
I was curious so I cut a donut in half, and I was genuinely shocked at how much cream was inside,,, The cream looked like it was about to spill right out. The crème brûlée donut had a sugar coating on the outside that gave it an amazing crispy bite, and the sweetness spread all through my mouth — perfect for satisfying a sugar craving.
The black sesame donut was also packed with black sesame cream, and it was pure nuttiness through and through. It wasn't a cloying, heavy sweetness — the rich, nutty flavor came through strongly, so I enjoyed it to the very last bite 😆 Honestly it's one of the best donuts I've ever had, and I get now why it's known as a must-visit Paju dessert spot. If you love dessert, this is a Paju dessert spot you have to add to your must-visit list!!!! 🥹

Who should come here
The drinks and donuts were all so delicious, and the café was so comfortable that I felt satisfied the whole time we stayed,, It's great to come with friends or family, and it's also a perfect stop for couples on a Heyri Village date!! I especially want to recommend this to anyone looking for a dog-friendly café in Paju for a weekend outing with their pup. Whether you're heading out for a weekend refresh or planning a Paju date course, be sure to stop by Heuksadang. Once the weather gets a bit cooler, I plan to come back soon to grab an outdoor table and have donuts again!
