Ichigyu Seoul Station

How to find Ichigyu Seoul Station Branch from Exit 10
Come out of Exit 10 at Seoul Station, find the LG Building, and head down to the basement level. It can be a little confusing at first, but once you spot the LG Building it's easy from there.

What Ichigyu looks like during the lunch rush
Ichigyu Seoul Station Branch has a warm, cozy feel overall, with wood tones and soft lighting throughout. It's a great place to sit and chat over a meal. When I went at lunchtime there were quite a few people already there — of course, it's a Seoul Station favorite!!

What we ordered: sirloin gyukatsu and the sirloin steak set
Each table already had a personal mini brazier set up. We ordered Ichigyu's signature dishes — sirloin gyukatsu and the sirloin steak set.

And rice refills are available too! Though the starting portion was already generous, haha.

There's also a fried shrimp giveaway event running. I've had Ichigyu's fried shrimp before and it was seriously good!

What comes with the sirloin steak set at Ichigyu
The food came out pretty fast. The steak set arrived first.

It's served as a proper set — rice, soup, salad, basic side dishes, and a special sauce, all neatly arranged. What really stood out was the Isigny butter provided alongside, meant for grilling with the meat.

The sirloin steak came sliced neatly into bite-sized pieces from a fresh cut.

Right after, the sirloin gyukatsu arrived. The gyukatsu was fried thin and crispy on the outside, rare and tender on the inside.

Grilling the sirloin with Isigny butter on the mini brazier
I dug in right away. First, you drizzle butter onto the brazier, then grill the meat. I seared it lightly on both sides to my liking and took the first bite immediately — the thin coating outside was crispy while the inside was incredibly moist.

The sirloin steak was also super tender and just melted away. That signature soft texture of sirloin was really delicious. This is what they mean by 'melts in your mouth'... The brazier's heat was just right, making it easy to get the doneness I wanted.

Paired with the cabbage salad and white rice that came with it, the meal felt really well-balanced. Such a hearty meal!
Personally, I loved that you don't have to grill everything at once — you can put the meat on the brazier at your own pace and keep enjoying it warm and freshly grilled the whole time.
What I liked most about lunch at Ichigyu
What I enjoyed most was definitely the combination of grilling it yourself on the mini brazier and the savory butter. The meat never got cold throughout the meal, staying in that just-grilled peak state, and the flavor of the sirloin grilled with a bit of melted butter was clearly different from a regular grilled dish. The meat quality itself was great too, with the characteristic savory aroma and tenderness of sirloin really shining through.
Who should try Ichigyu Seoul Station Branch

- Anyone who wants a quiet, intimate meal: the seats are cozy and compact, and there's fun in sitting face to face grilling meat together on the brazier.
- Office workers looking for a neat, tidy meal: served as a clean single-portion set, it's perfect for a Seoul Station lunch that feels both filling and a bit special.
- Anyone who wants to control their own doneness: from well-done to rare, if you want to slowly enjoy meat grilled exactly to your taste while it stays warm, you'll love this.

If you're looking for a good place to eat near Seoul Station, come enjoy a delicious meal at Ichigyu, where a neat plate of meat and a warm brazier await!
