Today I visited Eulji Darak Gangnam Station (을지다락 강남역), known for its cute, atmospheric setting near Gangnam Station. Eulji Darak is often mentioned as a spot for blind dates, dates, and wedding-invitation gatherings around Gangnam Station.

Most people come in groups or as part of a date course, but I visited during a quiet time this round and leisurely enjoyed the signature menu on my own 😊 (It is a bit of an intimidating place for solo dining, but I worked up the courage 🤭)

Eulji Darak Gangnam Station is all about its cute, compact little props and atmospheric styling! It is generally known as a mood-filled pasta restaurant near Gangnam Station or a date spot, so the vibe is usually geared toward groups. Still, the food arrives neatly on tray-style settings, making it a perfectly decent setup for eating comfortably on your own, too.

What I ordered and the Lemon Date

First up was the Lemon Date (₩6,900), which arrived in practically one minute. When you pour in the blue drink, it mixes with lemon soda to create a pretty purple drink. I think women would love it. Even the name is Lemon Date! So, so cute.

Taste-wise, it is regular lemonade! 🍋🍸 You may fall for the pretty color rather than any especially distinctive flavor, haha. It reminded me of aespa's new song, “Lemonade.” It was really hot that day, and while I waited 20 minutes for the main dish, I drank it all in the meantime haha.

How was the signature pork neck steak?

The signature pork neck steak (₩24,000) was one of Eulji Darak's representative dishes, and the menu I ordered this time. The quality of the meat was generally good, and it was tender too ✨ There was quite a lot for one person, so it would be just right for two people to order with pasta as a side.

Whole-grain mustard and wasabi on the side

The sauces were generally savory and a little salty. It came with a soft potato mash sauce, plus whole-grain mustard and wasabi to dip into according to your taste, so I could enjoy it deliciously to the end without it becoming too rich.

What sauce do you like with steak? I like wasabi with raw meat and whole-grain mustard with steak. Since there was already a savory sauce, I thought the whole-grain mustard suited it better.

It came with grilled eggplant and stir-fried vegetables alongside the meat, which was great for getting some vegetables in as well. Personally, I absolutely love grilled cherry tomatoes 🍅 There was no asparagus, which often comes with dishes like this, but it was already a satisfying spread with the other vegetables 😊

The signature pork neck steak was topped with a snowfall of cheese, and its pleasantly funky flavor was nice. It feels newly strange to be solo dining at Eulji Darak, where I had come two or three times before for group gatherings.

A meal before or after a blind date or wedding-invitation gathering

Looking at the next table, the pasta and other dishes all came in pretty, cute portions, so adding the meat alongside them would probably make for a very filling meal 💗
