Gangnam Seoul barbershop for a short cut: Divers Barbershop

I returned to Divers Barbershop Gangnam-gu Office Station Branch (다이버스 바버샵 강남구청역점) because I was happy with the cut and service on my previous visit. I got another cut this time and asked for a shorter style than before.

How do you get to this Gangnam-gu Office Station barbershop, and do you need a reservation?

It is on B1 of the SK Hub Blue building directly in front of Exit 2 of Gangnam-gu Office Station. The address is 342 Hakdong-ro, B1 Unit 107, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The building has an elevator, which made getting down to the basement shop convenient.

When I visited, there were both customers with reservations and walk-in customers. People kept coming in, so I would recommend reserving ahead on Naver if you want to reduce your wait.

What brought me back after my previous cut?

On my last visit, I especially liked how neatly the line behind my ears was cleaned up. I was satisfied with both the cut and the service, so I came back.

What men’s hairstyles do they work with?

They work with a range of men’s styles, including Ivy League cuts, Gaille cuts, side parts, drop cuts, and slick-backs. You can also get a down perm with a cut. During my consultation, I described the shorter style I wanted in detail.

What were the atmosphere and waiting area like?

The interior had an antique feel. It reminded me of an old European barbershop, and there was a place to wait. Two designers were there during my visit, and both were busy working.

Tools such as eyebrow razors, shaving razors, scissors, and combs were on display. They also offer eyebrow grooming, which may be useful to know if you want to tidy up both your hair and eyebrows.

How were the short-cut consultation and line cleanup?

This time, I asked for my hair to be cut a little shorter. The consultation was kind, and the cut was done carefully. It felt like a one-on-one tailored cut that considered my head shape, face shape, hair characteristics, and lifestyle.

I especially liked how neatly they cleaned up the back of my hair and the lines around my sideburns. I felt it would be a good place to get a consultation if you want a change from your usual haircut or need to tidy your hair before a meeting, blind date, or photo shoot.

They also did a treatment to lightly press down the top hair so it would not stick up too much in relation to my head shape. I liked that they looked at the overall shape of my hair instead of simply matching the requested length.

Do they explain how to style your hair at home?

They recommended which wax or pomade would work well and explained how to style my hair myself, along with some tips. I was satisfied with this cut too, since I received both a neat line cleanup and guidance on home styling.

What was the review-credit offer at the time of my visit?

At the time of my visit, the notice said that writing a photo and text review would earn ₩3,000 in credit, and that the credit could be used from ₩10,000.
