Nowon hair salon wedding color and basic care: Yeum Hair
In short
Yeum Hair Nowon District Office branch is a hair salon in Nowon, Seoul, where I had wedding hair coloring and basic hair care one week before a wedding-snap shoot. The initial color felt a little dark, but once dried, I liked its even, subdued finish and the softer feel of my hair.

With one week to go before my wedding-snap shoot, I visited Yeum Hair Nowon District Office branch (예움헤어 노원구청점) to even out my hair color. I was worried that uneven color or an overly bright shade would show in photos, so I had wedding hair coloring in a subdued tone along with basic hair care.

Where is the Nowon hair salon, and how do booking and parking work?
The salon is in Room 201 on the second floor of Taeung Building, 447 Nohae-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul. Building parking is available, though free-parking eligibility may vary by appointment length, so it is best to check when booking.
On Naver Booking, you can choose your designer, desired service, and time. If you are coloring your hair before a shoot as I was, noting that you have a wedding-snap shoot planned in the request section may help with the consultation.

What is the treatment space like?
There were waiting and treatment areas, along with several designers and staff members, so there were quite a few treatment chairs. The overall white-and-wood palette made it feel comfortable.

What tone did I discuss one week before the shoot?
I spoke at length with the senior designer about the condition of my hair and the color I wanted. We decided to care for my damaged hair while evening it out in a subdued tone, adding a length surcharge and basic hair care to the wedding coloring service.

When I said my shoot was a week away, they recommended a tone that considered how the color would fade during that time. I chose level 5 to reduce red tones, and they explained that it would lighten to around level 6 after a week. I had not yet seen the color on the day of the shoot.
Before the appointment, my hair was divided into two tones. I had put off coloring because I was concerned about further damage, but I wanted an even color before the shoot.

What care did I receive during the coloring?
Applying the dye took about 20 minutes, and I was also given an explanation of the nourishing treatment products to be used for my hair care.

While I waited, I had the coffee and cookies they prepared, along with hand care. I wore heart-shaped gloves for about 10 minutes, and my hands felt noticeably softer after I took them off.

Where and how did I receive the basic hair care?
After the coloring was finished, I moved to a separate spa room for the basic hair care. I could relax without worrying about my surroundings, and lying on the massage chair was so warm that it made me sleepy. The scalp massage was refreshing too.

How did the color and hair feel right after coloring?
When my hair was first washed, I wondered if it looked a little dark. But after it was fully dried, I liked the color more. It was subdued without feeling too bright or red, and to me it looked evenly blended from root to tip without patchiness.

I was worried my hair would feel dry after coloring, but after the basic care it felt soft and smooth to the touch. It also had a subtle shine, so I felt it was a good choice to receive both before the shoot. I did not get a haircut this time because I was concerned it might affect my hairstyle for the shoot.
What gift and aftercare guidance did I receive?
After the service, they gave me a treatment product and hair rollers as gifts. They were useful for caring for my hair at home and styling my bangs.

The staff kept checking whether I was uncomfortable during the service, which made the appointment feel easy. During the finishing styling, I was advised to avoid hot water and not wear white clothing for a few days. They also showed me how to gather my bangs with a clip when they keep separating.
What I liked most about this visit was getting the subdued, even tone I wanted before the shoot. I was also satisfied with how soft my hair felt right after the service and with the attentive care.
