Yeoksam café with kiosk bean choice and baton financier: Mini Male
In short
Mini Male Coffee Roaster Yeoksam Branch is a specialty coffee café and dessert shop a short walk from Exit 6 of Yeoksam Station in Gangnam, Seoul. At the in-store kiosk you choose one of three beans as an option, and the nutty Dunkel bean went into a Helsinki latte served alongside a handmade plain baton financier and a Levain matcha cookie. Short bean descriptions make choosing easy even if you don't know coffee well, and the cookies can be packed as a gift set.

Mini Male Coffee Roaster Yeoksam Branch has that proper coffee-shop feel you'd want from a Yeoksam-dong café. I like nutty flavors, so being able to choose beans was great, and the Levain matcha cookie was thick and delicious too.

What is the café like inside?
It's a good café near Yeoksam Station for a quiet chat over coffee. Mini Male Coffee Roaster Yeoksam Branch felt like a place among Yeoksam-dong cafés that really cares about its coffee.

You can choose your own beans when ordering coffee, and it's a good spot for coffee after a meal near Gangnam Finance Center and Yeoksam Station. Mini Male has a black-toned, clean, calm interior with a lamp over every table, giving it that atmospheric café feel.
Mini Male Coffee Roaster near Yeoksam Station has an open kitchen, so while you wait for your order you can watch the barista pull the shots, and the hygienic setup looked great too. The desserts aren't picked from photos — they're in a display case so you can see the real thing before choosing.

Cookies and financiers, plus gift-set packaging
They had a wide variety of cookies and financiers, sized just right for dessert, and the prices were pretty reasonable when ordered alongside coffee.

The cookies in the display case are thick, good for packing, and you can even choose gift-set packaging. You order through the in-store kiosk, and since you're choosing from photos, it was convenient.
How to choose your bean at the kiosk

The kiosk at Mini Male Yeoksam is well organized by menu category, lets you pick your beans in the options, and takes payment all in one go — easy to use.
I like nutty beans, and since each bean comes with a description, it was easy to pick one that matched my taste.

Of the three beans, Dunkel is a Central/South American blend with a heavy, nutty flavor like dark chocolate — described as nutty, so it caught my eye. According to Mini Male's product page, they use specialty green beans that score 80+ in cupping, hand-selected and roasted by the head roaster.
Helsinki latte made with the Dunkel bean

For someone who doesn't know much about coffee, picking by bean name alone can be tough, but each bean comes with its flavor profile explained, which made choosing by taste much easier. The Helsinki latte had a strong coffee flavor that paired beautifully with the milk, staying delicious to the last sip. When it first arrived, the latte art was pretty, and just like the description said, the first sip had a sweet note.

I drank it after a meal and it still wasn't heavy at all — it went really well with the financier.
Handmade plain baton financier and Levain matcha cookie
For a Yeoksam café dessert you can pack as a gift, Mini Male has handmade New York–style Levain-bakery cookies and cold financiers in a variety of flavors.

The handmade plain baton financier is thin and stick-shaped, with a nutty butter aroma and a moist texture — good for eating bite by bite alongside coffee.

The plating felt thoughtful too — instead of just setting things down plainly, the financier came in a cup, and it looked nice sitting on the table. I thought I should serve things like that when I have guests over at home.
The Levain matcha cookie is true to Levain style — thick and dense rather than thin and crisp. Inside there's walnut and white chocolate, and the combination with matcha's characteristic bitterness works really well.

Even just one was pretty filling with coffee. When choosing a café, coffee flavor matters, but so does a not-too-noisy atmosphere and desserts that pair well with the coffee — and here, the coffee is delicious too, which makes it great.
