⭐️ My boyfriend's one-line review: "A service-heavy restaurant with super cheap wagyu — a BBQ place that gives you meat for free"
Today I'm writing about a visit to Yuksik Wang, an Icheon BBQ restaurant known as a Terme Den go-to spot.
We stopped by for dinner on the way up from Andong, and both the meat and the service were great. It's right in front of Icheon Bus Terminal, and Anheungji Reservoir and the hot spring district are nearby, so it's also good for a walk:)

Where is Yuksik Wang, and what is the seating like?
Yuksik Wang, the Terme Den go-to restaurant in Icheon, is a 2-minute walk from Icheon Bus Terminal. It's also a good spot for a meal after visiting Terme Den, Lotte Premium Outlets, or Icheon National Cemetery.
Inside there are quite a lot of seats, so it would work well as a group meeting spot too. I'd recommend it for work dinners or family meals!
Yuksik Wang menu and prices
I heard that the owner used to run a steakhouse in Gangnam and brings that experience to serving good meat here! And the prices were very reasonable too 👍 The hanwoo pork platter is ₩56,000 for 600g, and the wagyu mixed platter is ₩75,000 for 400g.
They have raw pork belly, pork neck, pork jowl, skirt meat, grilled chicken neck, flower short rib, raw sirloin, and more — you can enjoy both pork and beef at good value. We ordered the wagyu mixed platter and the pork-packed kimchi jjigae!

Once you order, a hearty table setting comes out first.
That steamed egg is served free as a house treat!! I love a BBQ place that gives you gyeranjjim (steamed egg) as a default,,, the wild garlic and the fresh cabbage kimchi also went really well with the meat:)
It was also nice that each person got their own plate for eating the meat!
Once the meat comes out, they add charcoal to the grill.
Wagyu mixed platter: sirloin, chuck flap and short rib
The wagyu mixed platter came with a good mix of striploin, sirloin, and short rib, all evenly distributed. The meat looked really fresh!
They grill the sirloin first to get it nicely browned over the charcoal haha. Since the meat is trimmed the same day, it looked even better in condition.
The sirloin and short rib grilled up so deliciously,,, just from the look of it, I could tell why this is a famous Icheon BBQ spot.
Once it's browned nicely, they give you a rack to set it aside on so you can keep eating it warm the whole way through haha. It's not hanwoo, but it was plenty tender and melted right in your mouth 🤤
Next up, grilling the striploin! The striploin's marbling was especially good haha.
We started with salt, then tried it with pickled onion, wasabi, and their special sauce for variety haha.
Last up was the short rib~~ It's thick, so it definitely took a bit longer to cook through.
It had less fat than the sirloin and striploin, but the short rib was delicious too, full of chewiness and juiciness:)
Is the 10,000 won pork-packed kimchi jjigae worth it?
For the finishing dish, the pork-packed kimchi jjigae! I hesitated a bit at the ₩10,000 price, but the taste was absolutely worth the money.
It was really packed with meat, and the texture of the meat was genuinely good. Even though it's meat meant for a stew, you could tell they used really good quality meat. It made me want to try their grilled pork next time lol. The kimchi was simmered down well too, with a bit of tang and spice that kept me coming back for more spoonfuls!
Filling a stomach already coated in beef fat with kimchi jjigae and rice felt like the most satisfying way to end a meal 😊 With even the finishing dish this good, it's no wonder this is a well-known BBQ spot in Icheon!
A walk around Anheungji Pond before or after dinner
Before or after eating, it's nice to take a walk at Anheungji Reservoir right in front of Yuksik Wang haha. The walking path is well laid out, perfect for helping digest the meal.

For parking, you can use the Icheon Terminal public lot or the Icheon city public paid lot. The restaurant covers 2 hours! *Free on weekends and holidays.
I come to Icheon fairly often to visit Icheon National Cemetery, and I think this would be a nice place to take my parents for a family meal too. If you're looking for good restaurants near Icheon National Cemetery, this is worth a visit.
