Dongtan pho restaurant with kiosk waiting at 2pm: Mibundang

Today I want to introduce a place I genuinely love and often think of whenever I'm craving pho in Dongtan. It's Mibundang Dongtan Station! I'm someone who really likes pho, so I go around looking for good pho spots in Dongtan too, and Mibundang is so famous — it comes up a lot when you search for good pho places in Dongtan — that I've been curious about it for a while!!

Three parties waiting at 2pm, but the tables turn fast

I visited Mibundang Dongtan Station around 2pm. Since lunchtime was basically over, I thought there wouldn't be many people... but there were more than expected haha. When I got there, including me there were about 3 people waiting.

During lunch hours there seem to be more visitors so waiting can happen sometimes 🥲 But since Mibundang's food comes out fast and turnover is quick, I didn't have to wait as long as I thought I would ✨

How does the wait work at Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch?

📍 First-timers, pay attention!! It helps to know the waiting method beforehand. If there are people waiting, you first order at the kiosk. Then you take the receipt that prints out and clip it above the kiosk (easy, right~)

What we ordered at Mibundang and what it cost

What I ordered was brisket pho (차돌양지쌀국수) for 12,500 won and the fried assortment platter (모듬전식) for 8,500 won! And I also took one dish to go. Whenever I come to Mibundang, I pretty much always pick the brisket pho without a second thought. That's how much I love this menu item haha.

Inside, it's clean and has that distinct tidy Mibundang atmosphere, so there's no chaotic or overwhelming feeling! And once you sit down, staff bring water and side dishes to your table.

Brisket pho, 12,500 won: a generous pile of beef

The moment it arrived I thought, this is really a lot! So good 🤍. Even in photos it looks pretty hearty, but in person the portion is even bigger than expected. Especially since there's plenty of meat, it's not just a noodle-heavy pho — you can properly enjoy the meat too, and that was great.

I like eating meat and noodles together in generous amounts, and this place was really satisfying in that regard. Also, the noodles are so soft. Even when you lift them with chopsticks they come up smoothly, and eating them with the broth gives that perfect slurping feeling!

Free extra noodles with your pho

Another advantage of Mibundang! Extra noodle refills are free. The initial serving of pho is already so big that I always think, I'll finish it all today! but end up leaving a little because the portion is too much lol. That's how filling just one bowl is~

What comes in the 8,500 won fried assortment platter

My love ♥️ I ordered the fried assortment platter without fail too! The platter is made up of sweet potato spring rolls, scallop spring rolls, shrimp potato rolls, and tenderloin/shumai dumplings. It's great to order when you can't decide on just one side dish since you can try several things at once. And the plating is done so prettily that it just puts you in a good mood haha. It comes out beautifully arranged, perfect for photos too.

Since it's fried fresh and served warm, if you eat it right when it comes out the outside is really crispy!! Fried food really is best eaten hot, right, haha. On the first bite you get that crispy texture along with a sweet and salty flavor, so it was nice to eat one piece at a time between bites of pho. Personally, I think I'd order the fried assortment platter again if I come back. Honestly, after eating it I found myself wanting more, it was that good ✨🥹
