Follow your navigation and you'll spot Sugyeokok right away — it's tucked into the dining alley behind Migeum Station.

The exterior gives off an upscale vibe right off the bat. It's on the side street so it was easy to find. Sugyeokok seems to get busy often, since they even have a separate waiting area out front.

Inside Sugyeokok Bundang Migeum: seating, baby chairs and reservations
Sugyeokok Bundang Migeum had 13 four-person tables, bigger than I expected. The clean interior hits you the moment you walk in. I booked through Naver ahead of time, so there was no wait for me, but I'd recommend booking ahead for group visits!

The left and right sides are separate spaces. It's spacious all the way in, so group gatherings or family meals would work fine here. Each chair also has a drawer underneath, handy for stashing belongings or a jacket.

Every table has a kiosk too, so ordering and calling staff is easy at this Migeum dak hanmari spot.

And not-so-secretly, they have plenty of baby chairs on hand too.

Sugyeokok Bundang Migeum also has its country-of-origin labeling in order.
Sugyeokok Bundang Migeum menu and prices
The menu at Sugyeokok Bundang Migeum had dak hanmari and neungi dak hanmari (mushroom whole chicken hot pot) sets. For the 2-person dak hanmari, the clear broth was 38,000 won and the spicy version was 40,000 won. It was set up to order easily by headcount, which was convenient.

Dak hanmari set at 20,000 won × 2 people, 40,000 won total. Pret. Ty. Reasonable!
Just a heads up — you get a free drink for writing a Naver receipt review!

They also give you a guide on how to enjoy the dish. The staff explained everything so kindly that I just waited around and dug in!
Spicy dak hanmari set for two: what arrives and how hot is it?
Sugyeokok Bundang Migeum's spicy 2-person set (40,000 won) comes with chicken neck meat scorched-rice porridge + whole chicken hot pot + knife-cut noodles. Simmer it for about 8 minutes with the timer, and it's done.

Ta-da! A hearty spread arrived in no time.

The water kimchi that came as a basic side dish was genuinely delicious — spicy yet a really nice match with the knife-cut noodles.

How to mix the dipping sauce, and what Sugyeokok refills
I liked that the chili paste, minced garlic and vegetables were all refillable. There's a guide for making the sauce set up at each table — mix half a spoon of chili paste, half a spoon of minced garlic, mustard and soy sauce to taste, then toss it with the vegetables and you're done.
I mixed the sauce together with the vegetables at the same time and it didn't blend well. I'd recommend mixing the sauce first, then adding the vegetables!
Check out the video for a detailed food review. I had no idea a Korean restaurant like this existed in Gumi-dong! If you want warm broth on a cold day, I'd recommend the dak hanmari at Migeum.
Chicken neck scorched-rice porridge, the first course
I ate the chicken neck meat scorched-rice porridge first — normally I eat porridge last, but eating it first felt like an appetizer.
You could taste the finely chopped chicken neck meat, and it was savory enough to enjoy on its own! Nothing about it was harsh-tasting, so I think even young kids would eat it well.

The spicy whole chicken hot pot at Sugyeokok Bundang Migeum
I usually prefer spicy flavors so that's what I ordered — the spicy dak hanmari came loaded with green onion, potato, rice cakes and plenty of chicken. The spice level was about like mild Jin Ramyeon, not spicy at all.

Above all, the portion was seriously generous. It was more than enough for two adults to eat their fill and still have leftovers. The broth is clear, so it's nice to just sip on its own too — I'd recommend it as a drinking snack as well.
Why you should order the knife-cut noodles ahead
When you're about done with the chicken, call the staff over and they'll add the knife-cut noodles. The noodles need about 7 minutes to cook, so it's best to order them in advance. That wraps up this satisfying review of Sugyeokok Bundang Migeum near Migeum Station.
One-line verdict: Looking for a Bundang Migeum restaurant or a Gumi-dong restaurant? Sugyeokok Bundang Migeum comes recommended!
