I was visiting near Sinjeongnegeori for a white-tanning session, so I took the chance to get a treatment for the first time in a while!

Maybe because the weather is still humid, my naturally curly hair gets all puffy. On especially poofy days, I used to keep it tied up, but after the treatment my hair looked so neat—it was such a nice little mood lift :)

AVA Hair Sinjeongnegeori Station Branch: location and visiting tips

AVA Hair Sinjeongnegeori Station Branch is a 2-minute walk from Exit 3 of Sinjeongnegeori Station! It is incredibly close to the subway station, so getting there was super easy.

There is no free parking, so I recommend coming on foot or by public transportation.

As soon as I stepped inside, I spotted these crescent-shaped seats. If you wait here briefly, the staff confirm the name on your reservation and smoothly show you in.

There are five designers here, and AVA Hair Sinjeongnegeori Station Branch had a more spacious interior than I expected.

At roughly 40–50% of salons, when you get a treatment you are taken to a station without a mirror rather than a mirror station, so you often cannot see the process yourself. Here, though, there are lots of mirror stations, so I could receive the treatment right in front of one. It was nice being able to check each step in the mirror!

There are individual shampoo rooms along the way, so I could have my shampoo in private.

How are treatment prices explained?

These are approximate prices! An extra charge applies depending on hair length, so the exact treatment price is decided after a consultation.

The four-step Shiseido Clinic process

They also prepared a drink and snacks, so I could enjoy a tasty sugar boost during the treatment.

The treatment I received today was the Shiseido Clinic. There is an additional fee based on hair length, plus an extra ₩10,000 when paired with a haircut!

I do get treatments every month or two, but since I am preparing for my wedding and have not cut my hair at all, my ends have kept getting damaged 😭 My overall dryness and frizz were a big concern.

The Shiseido Clinic has four steps. To put it simply, think of step 1 as building the frame, step 2 as building muscle, and steps 3–4 as filling it with fat.

First, a treatment shampoo thoroughly removes buildup, then the step-by-step treatment products work to strengthen every strand. I loved that they explained each part of the process :)

First, they gave my hair a really thorough, clean shampoo to remove buildup from my scalp. It looks incredibly refreshing just watching it, right?

They generously sprayed on the Shiseido Clinic products step by step to replenish my hair with protein and moisture!

At different stages, they also used a mist machine to help the treatment absorb and give the hair extra moisture.

After about 1 hour 20 minutes, the treatment was finished. It definitely made my curls calmer, and the lower part of my hair looked much tidier too :) ❤️

I think I can wear my hair down for a while now hahaha. I showed a little mercy to hair worn out by my own ever-changing whims for perms and straightening. I recommend it to anyone looking for a hair treatment at a Mok-dong hair salon!
