Anseong Chinese restaurant seafood jjamppong set with rice: Chibao

Today I came to Chibao, an Anseong Starfield favorite. It's near my house so I visit a lot, and whenever I'm craving good Chinese food nearby, Chibao is the place I recommend and eat at often myself. The tantanmen, jjamppong, jjajang, and tangsuyuk are all delicious, so whenever there's a group of us, we pretty much order everything on the menu at Chibao~

It's on the 2nd floor food court, so it's easy to find, and since they cook after you order, you can even watch the fire show~

What is on the menu at Chibao Starfield Anseong Branch?

Chibao, located on the 2nd floor of Starfield Anseong, has Chinese meal dishes, cooked dishes, and sides, so you can pick and choose. Visiting with my kid, there was everything from shrimp fried rice to tangsuyuk as sides, so it's easy to pick without agonizing over the menu, and a family with different tastes can find everything they want at just this one place, Chibao~~

The jjajang, jjamppong and mini tangsuyuk 2-person set, plus extra rice

You can also buy single items, but today I chose the 2-person jjajang + jjamppong + mini tangsuyuk set to eat together with my husband and kid. I got the tangsuyuk non-spicy and also added a bowl of rice. You can choose between regular and chili tangsuyuk, and since I was eating with my kid, I chose the regular tangsuyuk. The meat is nice and thick and it's fried fresh, so it's incredibly tasty tangsuyuk.

I order it every time I come, and as always it's crispy outside with moist meat packed inside. If you come to Chibao, you have to order the tangsuyuk!! The quality is so good~~ Even the kids say it's delicious with just rice and ask for more — soft and chewy with plenty of meat, so if you're a tangsuyuk lover, I definitely recommend ordering it~

What does the yuni-jjajang in the Chibao set taste like?

Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) with a rich broth that's a standout. Chibao does great tantanmen and jjajangmyeon too, but the jjamppong also has a deep, rich flavor that's universally liked and always served piping hot, so it's my go-to spot every time I visit Starfield~~ And here's the jjajangmyeon that comes with the set. The portion is generous, and above all the ganjjajang-style yuni-jjajang is great for both kids and adults to eat~ It's exactly the textbook definition of delicious jjajangmyeon!!

With a savory, delicious jjajang sauce and springy noodles, the portion is generous even without ordering the large size~

Rich seafood jjamppong broth: a bowl after shopping at Starfield Anseong

Definitely my style. The jjamppong is generous and hearty, and the rich broth feels like it washes away a whole day's fatigue with just one spoonful~ On days when you're wandering the food court and nothing sounds good, how about a delicious bowl of jjamppong at Chibao? You're guaranteed a flavor that won't disappoint~ If you get hungry browsing and shopping at Starfield and grab a jjamppong, I bet today's fatigue disappears in an instant~

The noodles, boiled fresh, are chewy and delicious, so the seasoning soaks right into the noodles~~

It's even better eaten together with tangsuyuk, and the meat is so thick and tender that it's famous as a spot for great tangsuyuk too~

The pickled radish is also to my taste. It's thin, so it pairs really well~

The jjamppong, generously loaded with shrimp and squid, was great for my husband who had drunk too much the night before, and for me, it was spicy and rich — perfect for a stomach feeling a bit greasy~

And of course, to finish, you have to mix in the rice~~~

The tangsuyuk is great, the jjajang is great, and the jjamppong is well made too — that's Chibao~

Why Chibao works for a meal with kids

Chibao also has seafood jjamppong, beef jjamppong, and even tantanmen. Last time I was so moved after eating the tantanmen that I came back a few days later just for that. It's a great Chinese menu to share with kids, and Chibao is a trustworthy, good-value spot at Starfield~
