Picking a place when meeting up with a friend is always kind of a hassle, haha. Especially when you live in different areas, it feels awkward to make just one person travel far, so you end up hunting for somewhere with easy transit access.

This time I had dinner plans with a friend, so I looked for a restaurant near Seoul Station with good accessibility and ended up at Seoul Boutique! Since it's near Seoul Station, it was easy to meet even though we were coming from different areas, and I liked that we could have a meal and a light drink in one place. The vibe was also a bit different from your typical restaurant, so it was nice for chatting away on a weekday evening, haha. We ordered a mix of pizza, pasta, and chicken, and since each dish had its own personality, it was fun trying them one by one!

It's not easy to find a midpoint when you and a friend live far apart, haha. In that sense, this restaurant near Seoul Station was a good choice for meeting friends coming from various areas. It was also convenient that everyone could head home easily by subway or train afterward, which took the pressure off deciding on a meeting spot!

Inside Seoul Boutique: the 2nd-floor seats and the vibe

Inside, the lighting is on the dimmer side, and unique touches are scattered throughout, giving it a pretty distinctive atmosphere. Rather than a bright, casual restaurant, it felt like the kind of place you'd think of when you want to sit back after work and enjoy food with a beer!

Personally, I felt this was a restaurant near Seoul Station that's better suited to a weekday evening with friends, chatting over a beer, rather than a crowded weekend, haha. There's plenty of seating across the 2-story building, and the interior isn't ordinary, so it also worked well for a casual gathering vibe!

There are also tables set up outside, so now that it's cooled down with the start of autumn, a drink outside looking at the park sounds really nice!

We took a seat on the 2nd floor, and it was great that the water dispenser, pickles, and tableware were all available up there too, so there was no need to go up and down!

Looking at the menu, there were more options than I expected! From shareable dishes like pizza and pasta to more unusual options, it was a good setup for a group where everyone can pick something different.

There were curiosity-piquing items like watermelon beer, and plenty of drink options including highballs! Even someone like me who can't handle bitter alcohol well could find something to suit their taste, lol. And even if you'd rather focus on the food than the drinks, there were enough menu choices to make it an easy restaurant near Seoul Station to visit!

Ordering was convenient via kiosk right at the table, and we ordered three dishes total: spinach pizza, seafood crab-guts pasta, and chicken fricassee! We also got watermelon beer and a highball!

How do the spinach pizza, crab guts pasta and chicken fricassee taste?

First, the spinach pizza had cheese blending in smoothly, and the spinach paired surprisingly well with it! I was curious how spinach on pizza would taste at first, but it turned out lighter and cleaner than I expected, haha. It somehow made me feel like I was eating a slightly healthier pizza than usual, and I enjoyed it a lot!

The seafood crab-guts pasta was a seafood pasta with a subtle, savory seafood flavor that came through gently. I was worried the crab guts might make it too heavy or fishy, but it actually brought out the seafood flavor nicely, so it was good! It's a great menu option when you want something a bit different from the usual tomato or cream pasta at a restaurant near Seoul Station.

And out of the three, the chicken fricassee was my favorite! The creamy, smooth sauce went really well with the moist chicken, and the softly chewy garlic added a nice touch, haha. The sauce itself had such good flavor that I kept reaching for more!

From pizza to pasta to chicken, each dish had a different flavor direction, so even ordering all three together didn't feel repetitive at all. It was a restaurant that's fun to visit as a group, filling the table with dishes and sharing them one by one!

The watermelon beer came served in a cute watermelon-shaped glass, and the subtle watermelon aroma didn't overpower the beer's flavor but paired really well with the food, going down smoothly — I really loved this one too. >,<

I had a great time eating good food and chatting with a friend! It's a restaurant near Seoul Station that's easy to meet at from different areas, and also a nice spot for a light drink alongside a meal.
