Chicken fricassee at Seoul Boutique, a rooftop bar by Seoul Station

I found a rooftop Western-style spot near Seoul Station with a fantastic vibe and I couldn't wait to write about it, so here goes!

I had plans near Seoul Station for the first time in a while, so I finally checked out 'Seoul Boutique,' which has been all over Instagram and reviews for its amazing atmosphere. 😆

Where is Seoul Boutique, and where do you park?

Seoul Boutique is at 209-1 Manripjae-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul, a short walk from Exit 15 of Seoul Station, so it was super easy to find.

I had no idea a place like this existed in the Manri-dong alleys — from the rooftop to the stylish seating, it's perfect for a date. The entrance alone has so much character that I was already excited before even walking in.

There's a real exotic feel to it too! If you're looking for a date course near Seoul Station, keep this one in mind.

It's even better that it's so easy to get to right by Seoul Station — a short walk from Exit 15. The accessibility made things really convenient.

these two are your best bets for parking!

Three floors, three moods at Seoul Boutique

Seoul Boutique has a completely different vibe on each floor — a pub on the first floor, a vintage lounge on the second, and a rooftop on the third. The building's exterior is already vintage yet stylish, right up my alley, and once inside it's easy to pick a seat based on your mood.

Enjoying great food while looking out at a beautiful night view kept both my eyes and my mouth happy the whole time!

If you want to step away from the busy center of Seoul for a bit and really enjoy some relaxation and romance, this place has serious Instagram vibes!! If you're looking for a good spot for a wedding invitation gathering or a reunion with old friends, give it a try.

First floor: the Unique Pub

It has a trendy, casual pub feel, perfect for a quick beer after work or a chat with friends.

(By the way, the outdoor terrace seats on the 1st floor are pet-friendly too!)

Walk up the stylishly decorated stairs and you're right on the 2nd floor.

Second floor: the Vintage Lounge

There's group seating in the back of the 2nd floor. If you're planning a private gathering, booking the group seats on the 2nd floor looks like a good option.

The 2nd floor's vintage, hip styling had great atmosphere too, and I almost sat there, but with the breeze blowing so nicely, it had to be the rooftop, right?! So this time I settled into the 3rd floor rooftop!

And then it turned into this~ Once it gets dark, the lights come on and the atmosphere gets even better!

From the rooftop you can see all of Seoul at a glance, and with the green trees right in view, it was so calming.

How do the chicken fricassee and seafood Shanghai pasta taste?

At Seoul Boutique we picked two menu items: 'chicken fricassee' and 'seafood Shanghai pasta.' In such a great atmosphere, both the look and taste of the dishes were on point. 🍝

Basic pickles come out first.

Chicken fricassee

First up, the 'chicken fricassee' had crispy skin and juicy meat, soaked through with a deep, rich cream sauce — the savoriness and umami exploded with every bite! 🍗

It was smooth without being greasy, the kind of dish anyone would love regardless of age or taste.

The sauce was so good we scraped the bowl clean. Highly recommend this one!

Seafood Shanghai pasta

A spicy, savory aroma spread out, and the pasta was loaded generously with fresh seafood, making it fun to pick through.

It's on the spicier side, so if you like spicy food, give it a try~🌶️ That said, it's not as spicy as yeoptteok (spicy stir-fried rice cakes) — more around the level of Shin Ramyun!

The overall quality of the food felt thoughtful and well made, so it also went nicely with wine or other drinks. 🍷

How the two dishes work together, and who Seoul Boutique suits

The combination of chicken fricassee and seafood Shanghai pasta at Seoul Boutique was just right!

The spiciness cut right through the richness of the chicken, so the two dishes worked really well together. And the plating was great too, a treat for the eyes! Aren't the dishes pretty too~~ This place seemed to pay attention to even the smallest details. The dishes were so pretty I wanted to copy them for myself!
