Songdo Italian restaurant: ₩9,000 porchetta dinner at Salerno Onesta

In short

Salerno Songdo Onesta is an Italian restaurant on the 3rd floor of the Onesta Building next to Songhyeona (Songdo Hyundai Outlet) in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. At dinner, adding 9,000 won to a main course turns it into a steak dinner course, so the porchetta and burrata salad came with pre-meal bread, salad, mushroom soup, lemonade and homemade tiramisu. The porchetta was generous and tender at Salerno Songdo Onesta, and the thick homemade tiramisu was the real standout.

Inside Salerno Songdo Onesta: atmosphere and the private room

The interior at Salerno Songdo Onesta was spacious and pleasant. The vibe was calm and comfortable, too — I liked it.

Spacious, calm interior of the restaurant

Lots of tables, and plenty of space between seats like a proper restaurant should — nice.

The seating area can also be booked as a private space. They said the private room can hold up to 20 people!!

Salerno Songdo Onesta menu: how the lunch and dinner courses work

The menu board had a lot of variety — beverages, coffee, beer, antipasti, pasta, risotto, and salads, all sorts of Italian dishes.

There's pizza, steak, homemade tiramisu, and a kids' menu too. Apparently kids can even do a pizza-making experience!! Kids can make their own pizza and have it baked right there in the restaurant — sounds like a fun experience.

What comes with the steak dinner course: bread, salad and mushroom soup

I visited in the evening so I ordered the steak dinner course. It came with pre-meal bread, salad, and soup as well.

A plate of fresh salad

The bread was tasty, and the salad was crisp and fresh. The mushroom soup was so smooth and absolutely delicious ㅠ.ㅠ

Lemonade came out too. It had real lemon slices in it, wasn't too sweet, and was refreshing and delicious.

How does the porchetta main course taste?

For the main dish I chose porchetta and burrata salad.

Porchetta and burrata salad served on the table

Porchetta (porgetta) — apparently it's pork steak grilled in the style of a traditional whole-pig Italian barbecue. It was bigger and more generous than I expected!

A generous serving of porchetta pork steak

The pork was cooked and seasoned just right and was super tender — loved it. The sauce on top had a slightly tangy flavor that went really well with the barbecue-style pork.

And the potato purée served alongside the steak was smooth and delicious too.

Burrata salad and the homemade tiramisu

Burrata salad — a whole ball of burrata cheese sitting on a bed of marinated tomatoes. Time to break open the burrata.

The burrata was chewy and soft, and the tomatoes were incredibly tangy-sweet. If you like a bright, sweet-and-sour salad, this one's for you!!

And for dessert, homemade tiramisu. The spoon was heart-shaped…🩶

I fell in love with the first bite. So thick and creamy, it just melts in your mouth. Seriously so good haha. If you like tiramisu, you have to try this!!
