Butter chicken curry and prawn masala near Songdo Central Park
In short
Manokamana Songdo Branch is an authentic Indian curry restaurant between Songdo Central Park and Haedoji Park in Incheon. Visiting late in the evening, the writer paired butter chicken curry and prawn masala with plain naan, garlic naan, and white rice, and found garlic naan with prawn masala the best combination. The spices aren't overpowering, making it a good pick for date night or for first-timers with Indian food.

A 10-minute walk from Central Park: location and exterior
Manokamana Songdo Branch sits between Central Park and Haedoji Park, about a 10-minute walk from Central Park — good for a visit before or after a walk in the park. On a nice day you can tour Central Park and then have an unusual meal, which makes it perfect for a date course.

The exterior already had an exotic feel. Fitting for a place known as a Songdo Central Park restaurant, there were even waiting seats out front. The clean, stylish exterior raised my expectations before I even walked in.
Interior mood and the handwashing area

The interior kept an Indian atmosphere while feeling tastefully designed. Near the entrance there's a separate area for washing hands, which was convenient before and after the meal — that attention to detail made the whole experience feel more comfortable.
The dining room itself was very spacious and comfortable, with generous spacing between tables that made it easy to chat with company — a relaxed setting for a date, too. Even though we visited fairly late in the evening, couples kept coming in after us, which told me this really is a popular Songdo date-restaurant.
What's on the menu

The menu at Manokamana Songdo Branch had a wide range of Indian dishes — from budget-friendly set menus to lighter options like salads and soups, plus tandoori chicken.

The curries were shown with photos too, sorted into chicken, lamb, prawn, and vegetable curries, each with a description of ingredients and flavor underneath — which made choosing much easier.

Beyond curry, there was also pasta, fried rice, and stir-fried noodles — the lineup was broader than I expected, so it seemed like a place even first-timers with Indian food could visit without hesitation. Next time I'd like to come with a bigger group and order a wider variety of dishes, not just curry.

Ordering was simple through the Naver QR code at the table — no need to flag down staff. Since I wanted to try a range of curries, I ordered butter chicken curry and prawn masala, plus garlic naan and white rice to go with them.
Comparing butter chicken curry and prawn masala

Soon a generous spread of Indian curry arrived. Served in Indian-style dishware, it had an even more exotic feel, and the presentation looked delicious 🥹
First, butter chicken curry lived up to its name, with the soft, buttery flavor as its charm. The spice aroma wasn't overpowering, but the curry's characteristic savory depth still came through — easy to enjoy without any pressure. It's the kind of curry with broad appeal that first-timers with Indian food could enjoy without hesitation.

Prawn masala, on the other hand, was a curry with plump prawns and a subtle spiciness as its charm. It felt a bit stronger in spice flavor than the butter chicken curry, and the added heat kept me reaching for more. The plump, springy texture of the prawns added a distinct appeal all its own.

Plain naan and garlic naan
No Indian curry meal is complete without naan, so we tried both plain and garlic naan. The plain naan had a chewy texture and a clean flavor — solidly good without any frills, and it paired well with either curry. The garlic naan, meanwhile, had a subtle garlic aroma that added richer flavor, boosting the savoriness even more when eaten with curry.

The best pairing with naan and white rice
Now for the curry itself. The butter chicken curry had generous chunks of chicken with a soft texture, great for eating with naan. Piling the curry onto chewy naan along with the chicken made for wonderful harmony.
Thanks to its mild, smooth flavor, it also went well with white rice — and when dipped into the plain naan especially, the soft, nutty flavor of the butter chicken curry stood out even more.

The prawn masala, meanwhile, had plump, sizable prawns soaked in curry flavor. Eaten with white rice, the springy prawn texture and subtly spicy curry aroma came together really appealingly 🦐
Prawn masala paired best of all with garlic naan — the subtle garlic aroma seemed to lift the savoriness of the prawn masala even further, making it my personal favorite combination. The plain naan was clean and delicious too, but a more flavorful naan like the garlic one revealed a different charm when paired with curry 😆
Verdict: how was it as a date course?

Manokamana Songdo Branch, a Songdo Central Park restaurant, was a satisfying place with a comfortable atmosphere and a variety of Indian dishes to enjoy. From the not-too-spicy butter chicken curry to the savory, spicy prawn masala, the menu had impressive options that even first-timers with Indian food could enjoy comfortably. Located near Central Park, it's easy to visit, and with its spacious dining room and relaxed mood, I'd recommend this Songdo Indian curry restaurant as a date course 😊
