How close is Bidangusul to Seomyeon Station, and where do you park?

There's no dedicated parking lot, so you'll need to use a nearby paid or public parking lot. It's about a 1-minute walk from Seomyeon Station exits 4 or 6, so it's very easy to reach by public transit! The streets around Seomyeon can be confusing to navigate, so I'd recommend taking transit rather than driving.

They hand out free fans and there's a phone charger available, so you're covered if you're running low on battery! There are so many bars around Seomyeon with a nice atmosphere, but finding one that also nails the food is honestly kind of hard.

Bidangusul Seomyeon nails both the interior and the food, so I was 100% satisfied! I only went for the Korean fusion menu, but I was genuinely surprised by the traditional, distinctly Korean touches in the decor. Have I seen a bar this pretty recently? Not really, haha.

One reason people come to this bar near Seomyeon Station is the makgeolli (rice wine), which apparently comes in a really unusual-looking bottle — but my friend wanted beer and soju, so sadly I didn't get to try it. From the reviews it sounds delicious, so I'll definitely order it next time, haha. They also have traditional liquors, highballs, and even non-alcoholic drinks, so there's a lot of variety.

Every table has an ordering tablet, so we could order comfortably without dealing with staff directly. Drinking culture these days really has changed a lot from before. I've started paying more attention to how comfortable a bar's vibe is for chatting over good food, rather than going somewhere just for the drinks.

What is Bidangusul like late on a Sunday night?

Bidangusul Seomyeon had everything in place — the vibe, the food — so I was really satisfied, haha. Even though we went fairly late on a Sunday, there were quite a lot of customers! But since the place is spacious and the tables are set well apart, we could still focus on our conversation. It wasn't nearly as loud as I expected, and that's what I appreciated most!

How do the cheese-bomb potato pancake and pine sorbet taste?

I love potatoes and cheese, so I ordered this one, and it really was a cheese bomb!! Eating it with the seasoned chives on the side gives it a whole different flavor, haha. We'd planned to head to a second bar afterward, but the portions were so massive that we were full in no time! We honestly didn't need to go anywhere else, haha.

If you like cool, refreshing desserts, you have to try the pine sorbet! After the cheese-bomb potato pancake, a bite of pine sorbet was the perfect palate cleanser.

Even though it's autumn, the daytime heat had completely worn me out, but coming to this bar near Seomyeon Station in Busan and enjoying great food in a comfortable atmosphere really turned my mood around, haha. It's close to home too, so I think I'll be back often ❣️
