Window-seat daytime soju at a Gwangalli sashimi restaurant, Gwanganda
In short
Gwanganda Jjji Gwangalli Main Branch is an ocean-view sashimi restaurant on the 6th floor of Sanbada Hoetown, near Millak Waterside Park in Gwangalli, Busan. A window table with a Gwangan Bridge view was reserved in advance, and the dachi hansang set for two (55,000 won) arrived with soju, running from endless sukkidashi side dishes through sashimi, blue crab stew and abalone porridge. With the soju served in an ice basket, Gwanganda Jjji made pacing the drinks the only real challenge of a mid-afternoon meal.

Isn't a good spread of sukkidashi (assorted side dishes) half the point of eating sashimi? Just me?
As someone who loves sukkidashi, I'd been wanting to check this place out for a while. Went to Gwangalli seafood restaurant Gwanganda Jjji.
Where is Gwanganda Jjji in Gwangalli, and where do you park?
Gwanganda Jjji is on the 6th floor of Sanbada Hoetown at 17-20 Gwanganhaebyeon-ro 344beon-gil, Suyeong-gu, Busan, near Minrak Waterside Park. I wanted an open, unobstructed ocean-view seat looking out over Gwangalli, so I booked ahead.

Inside Gwanganda Jjji: Gwangan Bridge views and private rooms
The moment I stepped inside Gwanganda Jjji, the wide-open ocean view of Gwangan Bridge came into full view — I couldn't help but gasp.

The windows are kept so spotless that the Gwangan Bridge view looks crystal clear, almost like there's no glass at all — it felt so refreshing.

Besides the ocean-view seats in the main hall, there are also private room seats set aside separately, making it a perfect spot for gatherings or company dinners.
Gwanganda Jjji menu and how tablet ordering works
At Gwanganda Jjji, once you're seated, you simply order through the tablet at each table.

The menu at Gwangalli seafood restaurant Gwanganda Jjji centers on the dachi hansang set at ₩55,000, with a kids' sukki add-on at ₩36,000. There's also a lunch special abalone porridge for ₩15,000, and you can add extra sashimi or sukkidashi depending on taste.
What comes with the dachi hansang set for two: drinks and sukkidashi
We ordered the dachi set for two along with some drinks.

Once the order is placed, the table fills up fast with food.

Salad, tangy sashimi salad, sushi rolls, soy-glazed grilled eel, soy-marinated crab, ginseng, scallops piled with cheese, braised pufferfish skin, blood cockle salad, seafood pancake, abalone, and sweet-savory cream shrimp — the table was completely full.
On top of that came live octopus, sea squirt, conch, and shrimp,
and seeing the table so lavishly spread, I got it immediately — why this place is famous. 🤣🤣

Looking at the food naturally made me crave cold soju, so I ordered some right away — and it came served in a basket packed with ice, keeping it chilled all the way through.
A touch that really moved this drinker's heart.

First bite of the braised eel: salty-sweet and tender. Just eating it while looking out at the ocean view felt healing.

Next, the cream shrimp had that classic sweet-and-salty cream flavor, and it hit exactly right for my simple, kid-like taste buds.

The cheese-topped scallops were so soft they practically melted the moment they hit my mouth.

Main sashimi plate, blue crab stew and abalone porridge to finish
Once you've worked through the sukkidashi, the main sashimi arrives! At Gwanganda Jjji, the sashimi comes as a mix of flounder, red seabream, marbled flounder, and sea bass. Maybe because it's so fresh, it's chewy and nutty.

I was already pretty full from all the sukkidashi and wondered if I could finish it all, but it was so good I couldn't put my chopsticks down. 🤣🤣

By the time the sashimi is nearly done, out comes the spicy crab stew, shrimp, fried crab, braised fish, and finally the meal wraps up with abalone porridge.
The spicy stew is packed with blue crab, and you get plenty of well-filled, meaty crab.

The nonstop, table-filling parade of food from start to finish made the whole meal a joy. It was so good that I had a surprisingly hard time pacing my drinking even in broad daylight — a truly satisfying time.
