Seogwipo dessert café with Udo peanut rice cake: Forest Jeongbang
In short
Forest Jeongbang is a two-floor ocean-view dessert café near Jeongbang Waterfall in Seogwipo, Jeju. After sightseeing at the waterfall, the writer ordered an americano, freshly squeezed Jeju hallabong (tangerine) juice and an Udo peanut rice cake, then settled into the wood-toned second floor to watch the scenery through the window. Forest Jeongbang is an easy place to rest with Jeju's nature right outside.

While traveling around Jeju, I stopped by Jeongbang Waterfall and looked for a nearby café to rest at — that's how I found Forest Jeongbang. True to its name, the atmosphere blends nicely with the surrounding scenery, making it a perfect little breather in Jeju.

The café's exterior felt clean but still had that laid-back Jeju vibe. There's a generous amount of space out front, and the surroundings don't feel cramped at all, so the first impression was already comfortable. On a nice day, you can enjoy the clear sky and green scenery that only Jeju offers. It was also a nice route — heading straight here for coffee right after sightseeing at Jeongbang Waterfall.

First-floor dessert case and second-floor window seats
On the first floor of Forest Jeongbang, there's a display of desserts made in-house, along with a drink and dessert menu posted on the wall. Stepping inside, the overall atmosphere felt warm and calm. The desserts on display were individually packaged, which looked clean and tidy. There was also a menu board on the wall introducing the drinks and desserts, so it was fun just browsing to decide what to order.

After ordering and heading up to the second floor, the wood-toned interior and large windows let in natural light, making the space feel bright and comfortable. Sitting at a table, the view outside naturally came into sight, which made it a perfect spot to catch your breath during a Jeju trip.

Hallabong juice and Udo peanut rice cake at Forest Jeongbang
At Forest Jeongbang I ordered three things: an americano, freshly squeezed Jeju hallabong (tangerine) juice, and an Udo peanut rice cake. It was nice having coffee and juice side by side to sip between.

I ordered an americano since it's the most reliable option while traveling, and it went well with the dessert. And of course, since I was in Jeju, a hallabong menu item was a must.
The hallabong juice looked distinctly Jeju just from the color alone. It had a refreshing, sweet taste that was great to drink while traveling, letting you enjoy the fruit's own brightness rather than an artificially intense flavor. It was especially nice being able to order coffee and hallabong juice together and switch between them depending on my mood.
What is Udo peanut rice cake like?
For dessert, I picked the Udo peanut rice cake. Whenever I'm in Jeju, I somehow always want to try desserts made with Udo peanuts haha 😆 The cake was topped with peanut cream, so a nutty aroma hit first, and it had that distinct plain, light texture that rice cakes have compared to regular flour cakes. Eating it with coffee, the nutty sweetness paired well. If you're looking for a lighter dessert to enjoy with tea rather than something too heavy while traveling in Jeju, this could be a good choice.
Is Forest Jeongbang worth a stop after Jeongbang Waterfall?
Forest Jeongbang was a great place to relax while gazing at the scenery outside the window. Rather than being an elaborately decorated café, it had an atmosphere where you could stay comfortably while feeling close to Jeju's nature. Picking menu items only found in Jeju — americano, Jeju hallabong juice, and Udo peanut rice cake — really added to the travel mood. If you're looking for a quiet café to rest at near Jeongbang Waterfall, or a dessert café with a Jeju feel, this is worth adding to your trip 🌿
