What is Anmin Yangsan? A whole-pig BBQ house in the Beomeo district
Anmin Yangsan is a newly opened whole-pig BBQ restaurant near Hwangsan Children's Park in the Beomeo residential area of Mulgeum-eup, Yangsan. If you ask what to eat out in Yangsan, meat is really hard to beat 🥩 I'd had Anmin at another branch before and remembered it being pretty delicious, so when I heard a new location opened in Yangsan, I went straight over!
I was especially curious since this new spot is on the Beomeo side of Yangsan, and once I got there, it felt like they'd put real thought into not just the food but the whole atmosphere.
The restaurant is big and spacious, and the interior is stylish, so my first impression was already great 🤍 That day I ordered the half-pig BBQ set along with jar sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew) and white fried rice. The pork belly, pork neck, pork skin, and vegetables all came out together, so it was fun picking and choosing what to eat, and the range of sauces — from pine mushroom wasabi to hairtail jeotgal (salted hairtail), cheese fondue, cumin, and pine pollen salt — was really impressive ✨
Anmin Yangsan's exterior and how to get there

Anmin Yangsan is located near the Beomeo residential area and Hwangsan Children's Park. There are quite a few BBQ restaurants around, but this place has a fairly large building with an exterior that stands out, so it wasn't hard to find even on my first visit.
From the entrance, it had a clean, stylish vibe that felt a bit different from a typical neighborhood BBQ joint. If you're setting up a meetup in Beomeo where you want both a meal and drinks in one place, the location works well too.
Inside Anmin Yangsan: atmosphere and seating
Once inside, the interior actually felt more spacious than the exterior suggested. There were plenty of tables, mostly set for four people, with generous spacing between them and a sense of separation, so I never felt too close to the next table.
The overall interior blends wood tones with green touches, giving it a warm yet stylish feel 🌿 I'd expected the usual loud, bustling BBQ-joint atmosphere, but it actually struck me as a decent date spot too. If you're looking for a Yangsan BBQ restaurant that also cares about ambience, this could be a real plus.
Anmin Yangsan menu and what we ordered

Looking at the menu, you can choose from a variety of pork cuts, and there are several side dishes that pair well with meat. On top of drinks, they also have a good range of highballs and cocktails, so it's a solid setup for grabbing a drink alongside your meat 🍹

To eat generously that day, we ordered the half-pig BBQ set (pork belly, pork neck, pork skin), jar sundubu jjigae, white fried rice, and a bowl of steamed rice.
Side dishes and sauces served with the pork
One of the things that stood out most at Anmin Yangsan was just how many sauces and accompaniments came with the meat.
There was pine mushroom wasabi, prepared hairtail jeotgal, fish sauce dressing, cheese fondue sauce, seasonal pickled vegetables, and well-fermented pa-kimchi (scallion kimchi), all lined up. On top of that, there was barley ssamjang (dipping sauce), wrap vegetables, cabbage salad, fresh cut kimchi, yuja-ginger, and garlic pickles, making it genuinely fun to figure out which combination to try with each bite of meat.

There was also curry bean powder, cumin, and pine pollen salt, so even the same piece of meat could taste different depending on the sauce you paired it with. If you enjoy mixing up combinations rather than just dipping meat in plain salt or ssamjang, you'll be pretty happy here 😊
The half-pig set 🥩: pork belly, neck and skin on one grill

Our main order, the half-pig BBQ set, arrived. One plate came piled with pork belly, pork neck, pork skin, and vegetables to grill alongside, so it looked generous right from the start. Being able to eat several cuts at once is definitely this dish's biggest draw.

We grilled the meat on the grill until it turned golden brown. With pork belly, pork neck, pork skin, and vegetables all sizzling together, it really felt like a proper BBQ restaurant experience.

As the meat cooked, the charcoal smell and smoky aroma built up, and eating it fresh off the grill reminded me why grilled meat is just the best way to eat it.

Having several cuts on the grill at once and picking whichever suited my taste made it a more fun setup for a group visit.
Jar sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew) 🍲

Since eating just meat felt like it was missing something, we also ordered jar sundubu jjigae. Adding a warm soup dish alongside the meat definitely makes the meal more filling.

Served in a jar, it looked properly warm the moment it hit the table, and it was great for taking a spoonful of broth between bites of meat. The soft tofu in the stew also had a way of resetting your palate while eating meat.
Finishing with white fried rice 🤍
We finished with white fried rice. Even after eating plenty of meat, you always want just one more thing, and fried rice is essential for that ☺️
True to its name, it had a white look, giving it a different feel from the usual red, seasoned fried rice. Pairing it with the leftover flavors from the meat made for a satisfying way to wrap up the meal.
