Magok date-night fajitas at Taqueros, a Mexican restaurant

Lately, my mom-given legal sidekick No. 2 has kept going on and on about tacos, you know? So we ended up visiting, haha.

Taqueros near Magok Station and Seoul Botanic Park

Taqueros Magok Main Branch is on the second floor of Magok GMG Tower, a five-minute walk from Exit 3 of Magok Station.

It is also a six-minute walk from Seoul Botanic Park, so wouldn’t tacos followed by a stroll around the park be the absolute best route? Agree?

An interior that feels like a Mexican family restaurant

The interior really has the feel of a Mexican family restaurant. With its exotic, distinctive décor and comfy sofa seating, it seemed like a nice spot for a family meal, birthday party, or an unusual date with your partner.

The signature dishes are Texas BBQ pork ribs, fajitas, chimichangas, quesadillas, and tacos. There are also lots of set menus prepared for groups of two, three, or four.

They are also running a prize-draw event: you get one coin for every ₩60,000 spent. There is a receipt-review event too, so please show it lots of love!

They first brought us nachos as the basic table setting. You are now looking at the hand of a hyena stalking those nachos...

Ordering the Signature Couple Set and Apple Mango Ade

You can order through the QR code on the table. We ordered the Taqueros Signature Couple Set. They said ade is ₩1,500 off with a set order, making it ₩3,500, so we added an Apple Mango Ade too!

The Apple Mango Ade came out first, so we enjoyed it nice and cold. It was just right for the two of us to share.

Soon after, the Signature Couple Set arrived. The presentation was seriously amazing, right? ✨ My jaw literally dropped when I saw it.

The Taqueros Signature Couple Set comes with fajitas or pork ribs, plus two tacos (drinks not included). Just note that switching to pork ribs costs an extra ₩6,000!

Hearty fajitas wrapped with all kinds of sauces

First, fajitas are a dish where you wrap assorted meats, stir-fried vegetables, and rice in tortillas with different sauces.

I was surprised by how generously they gave us chicken, pork, shrimp, and more. There were so many sauces too—guacamole, tomato salsa, sour cream, cheese sauce, jalapeños—so it was fun trying different combinations. All the sauces except guacamole, as well as the tortillas, are unlimited refills, which made it such good value.

Putting chicken, guacamole, and sour cream in all at once gave me so many flavors at the same time—so good 👍

Between the chicken taco and fish taco, which was my pick?

The set comes with two kinds of tacos: a chicken taco and a fish taco. You get one crispy Southern-style fried chicken taco 🐔 and one crispy fish taco 🐟 fried in house-made beer batter.

The chicken taco has crispy fried chicken with a pleasantly bitter sauce, while the fish taco has fried fish with a tangy white sauce.

The youngest one's pick was the chicken taco, and mine was the fish taco, haha. The tacos were so generously filled that I got full really quickly after just one... 🥲 Even so, a staff member came over first and offered us a tortilla refill, which we gratefully accepted and polished off, hehe.

Honestly, I initially thought the price point was a little high, but I heard that the owner makes all the meats and salsa sauces from their own recipes. That made the price immediately make sense 🙆♂️ If you are looking for a good spot for an unusual date, give Taqueros Magok Main Branch a visit! Another delicious meal today.
