Dunsan-dong escape room for two in Daejeon: Obsession, Cube Escape
In short
Cube Escape Daejeon Dunsan is an escape room café on the 5th floor of a building in central Dunsan-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon. Booked in advance through the website, two players took on the difficulty-4 'Obsession' theme for 45,000 won over 60 minutes, lost 15 minutes early on and failed to escape, but enjoyed piecing the clues together. Cube Escape Daejeon Dunsan is worth recommending as a cool indoor date course in Daejeon on a hot summer day, instead of another café.

The weather's been so hot lately that outdoor dates felt out of the question. So while looking for an indoor Daejeon date course to cool off in, I ended up visiting Cube Escape Daejeon Dunsan.

Where is Cube Escape Daejeon Dunsan, and what are the hours?
Cube Escape Daejeon Dunsan is on the 5th floor at 47 Daedeok-daero 185beon-gil, Seo-gu, Daejeon, South Korea. Hours are Monday–Thursday 12:00–23:55, Friday–Saturday 11:00–2:00 the next day, and Sunday 12:00–23:55.

Cube Escape sits right in the heart of Dunsan-dong, so it's very accessible, and since it's on the 5th floor you can just ride the elevator up. With a wide range of themes on offer, it's a great Daejeon activity to try with friends or a partner.

How do you book a room at Cube Escape Daejeon Dunsan?
You can book Cube Escape Daejeon Dunsan through the official website by choosing your date, time, and theme. We reserved ahead of our visit. Being able to pick the exact date, time, and theme we wanted meant we could walk right in without waiting, which was really convenient. Popular time slots can fill up fast, so I'd recommend booking ahead.

The six escape room themes currently running
Cube Escape Daejeon Dunsan runs six themes in total,
- Organ Trafficking
- Obsession
- Titanic
- The Martian
- Cinderella
- Catacombs
and I liked that you can pick one to suit your taste. With everything from horror to story-driven to fantasy vibes, it seems like you could visit multiple times and still find something new.

Best of all, you get to enjoy it in a cool indoor space, so it felt like a stress-free date even in the middle of summer. If you're tired of dates that are always just going to a café, I'd recommend this as a way to try something different.

Prices by group size, plus discounts
Prices at Cube Escape Daejeon Dunsan vary depending on how many people you bring.
- 2 people ₩45,000 (₩22,500/person)
- 3 people ₩60,000
- 4 people ₩76,000
- 5 people ₩90,000
- 6 people ₩102,000
- 7 people ₩119,000
It's affordable enough for two people to visit without feeling like a splurge, which explains why it's so popular as a Daejeon date course. There were also various discount events running — student, early-bird, repeat visitor, birthday, and group discounts — so it's worth checking before you go.

Pay cash and save 1,000 won per person
One tip: paying in cash gets you ₩1,000 off per person! As noted on the signage, bank transfers don't qualify — only cash payment does. If you want to save a bit, it's worth bringing cash.

Before the game: briefing and storing your belongings
Before the game starts, you have to put all personal belongings into a locker to keep the immersion intact. Phones and smart devices like Apple Watches also have to be switched to silent or vibrate mode and stored away — you can't carry them during the game. Thanks to that, we could focus on the story without distractions and really get into the escape room experience.

If you manage to escape within 60 minutes, they'll take a commemorative Polaroid photo for you. Being able to capture the moment you escaped together after solving everything as a team made for a special memory. Whether you're there with a partner or friends, I'd recommend getting a success photo too.

Before the game begins, staff kindly explain how the locks work, how the game proceeds, and how to use hints, so even first-timers can enjoy it without any pressure.

Playing 'Obsession' (difficulty 4) in 60 minutes
We took on the difficulty-4 'Obsession' theme at Cube Escape Daejeon Dunsan! The time limit is 60 minutes, and we didn't manage to escape in time. We got stuck right from the start and lost about 15 minutes 🥹 Still, even though we hit a few more snags along the way, connecting the clues one by one to solve each puzzle was genuinely fun!! There's a real joy in bouncing ideas off a friend or partner and working together, and it naturally builds teamwork 💖

Is Cube Escape a good indoor summer date course in Daejeon?
If you're stuck on where to go because of the heat, I'd recommend Cube Escape Daejeon Dunsan as a Daejeon escape room to try. Thanks to the variety of themes and how immersive it was, time flew by, and it was more than enough to create a different kind of memory. 💛 If you're looking for a cool Daejeon date course and a special Daejeon activity this summer, I'd recommend giving it a visit!
