Jongno Korean restaurant for family udon: Insadong Jemyeonso
In short
Insadong Jemyeonso is an udon and pork cutlet restaurant in Jongno, Seoul, on the third floor of Annyeong Insadong. After visiting Dongmyo Toy Street, the Seoul Museum of History, and Ssamziegil, we had the pork cutlet udon set meal and kimchi udon. A handy, family-friendly stop before or after exploring Insadong.

Whenever we take a trip to Seoul, there are so many places to go that it really feels like we walk and walk all day long.. haha. There were lots of international visitors too, and after looking around Ssamziegil while searching for a good Insadong restaurant, we ended up at Insadong Jemyeonso Annyeong Insadong Branch (인사동제면소 안녕인사동점)~

On the 1st, we checked out Dongmyo Toy Street, which the kids had wanted to visit—and which I didn't even know about,

and visited the Seoul Museum of History too,

A lap around Insadong after Dongmyo and the museum
Our final destination was Insadong~ Since we'd come all the way to Seoul, it felt a shame to head straight home, so before finding an Insadong restaurant with the kids, we decided to take a lap around Insadong~

When you come to Insadong, you can't leave out Ssamziegil‼️

The kids each had an ice cream in hand, and they loved simply walking around Ssamziegil and looking at this and that, haha. Mom's legs were about to give out.. haha. Before we knew it, it was dinner time~
The place we chose for our final meal on this Seoul outing was Insadong Jemyeonso Annyeong Insadong Branch🫶

An udon restaurant on the third floor of Annyeong Insadong
It was on the third floor inside the Annyeong Insadong cultural complex, so it wasn't hard to find~

It's in a great spot for a meal while you're sightseeing in Insadong, so it was nice to visit with the kids too!! Since it's a cultural complex mall, there were lots of things to see inside~

Udon and pork cutlet after all that walking
We were exhausted from walking so much, haha, and it was a popular Insadong spot for easy, tasty comfort food that both kids and adults could enjoy!

- Pork cutlet udon set meal
- Kimchi udon
Ta-da!!! Doesn't it all look so appetizing? And a cool drink each to go with the food too~~ haha

The pork cutlet was fried nice and crisp, so it was crunchy on the outside and moist inside—delicious~

It had a different feel from the Western-style pork cutlet we ate the day before, and even the kids who love pork cutlet ate it well.. (Even though they said they wouldn't.. hahahaha.) They also love slurping noodles, and maybe because it was that familiar clean flavor, the udon disappeared in no time, haha. The noodles went down so easily with that hot broth, hehe.

Kimchi udon with a refreshing kick
This is the kimchi udon I ordered because I wanted it~

With kimchi in it, the broth was a little more refreshing and gently spicy than regular udon. It wasn't a strongly spicy kimchi udon; it just had that distinct clean, refreshing flavor of kimchi added😋

Maybe because it was raining and we'd walked all day, the hot udon broth tasted even better, hehe.
Insadong Jemyeonso Annyeong Insadong Branch has menu items kids like, including pork cutlet and udon, so it's great for a family meal too~

There is lots to see in Insadong, and if you're looking for easy menu choices to eat with kids, Insadong Jemyeonso Annyeong Insadong Branch was a good, convenient place for a meal before or after Ssamziegil while looking for restaurants around Ikseon-dong or Insadong—it is close to Ikseon-dong too❤️
