Gyodae Station Chinese restaurant with Peking duck: Mirimyangjang
In short
Mirimyangjang Seocho is a Peking duck restaurant on basement level 1 of a building on Seocho-jung-ang-ro, near Gyodae Station in Seocho, Seoul. Two of us came for lunch and ordered Peking duck, mapo tofu and dimsum, wrapping the duck in thin wheat pancakes with cucumber and scallion in a black-toned dining room where the tables sit far apart. Mirimyangjang Seocho is worth a return trip when you want proper Chinese food instead of the usual jjajangmyeon and jjamppong.

My friend and I decided to meet up in Gyodae after a while! We were trying to figure out what to eat for lunch and looking up good restaurants near Gyodae when Mirimyangjang caught my eye. I wanted something a little more special than my usual go-to dishes, and I heard this place was known for Peking duck, so I decided on it right away. Peking duck isn't something I eat often, so I was even more curious about it! We both went in with high expectations for lunch haha.

Where Mirimyangjang Seocho is and where to park
Mirimyangjang Seocho is located at Basement 1, B104, B105, B106, 151 Seocho-jung-ang-ro, Seocho-gu, Seoul, and it's open from 11:00 to 24:00. You can park at the Jeongam Building parking lot, which gives you 1 hour free. However, since it's a mechanical parking system, SUVs and electric vehicles apparently can't park there.

Does Mirimyangjang Seocho have private rooms? From 4–6 up to 10–16 people
The interior of Mirimyangjang Seocho was overall dark-toned with soft lighting added, giving it a calm atmosphere. Each table had its own separated space, which made it comfortable to dine with your group and gave the whole place a private feel!
There are also large rooms available for groups from 4–6 people up to 10–16 people, which looked good for family gatherings or company dinners. For a group of 4–6, you apparently need to book through Catchtable or Naver Reservation and then confirm once more by phone. Or you can just call the restaurant directly to check availability and book right away! If you're going with a sizable group, I'd recommend booking ahead before visiting :)

Regular table seating and the black-toned interior
Aside from the rooms, there were quite a lot of regular table seats too. The interior overall had a clean, black-toned look! The seats were fairly spacious too, so we could eat comfortably without worrying too much about the next table. The whole vibe was calm, so it looked like it would work for dates as well as family meals or group gatherings :)

What two people ordered: Peking duck, mapo tofu and dimsum
Here's what we ordered!☺️

How do you eat Peking duck?
Finally, our food arrived! The Peking duck at Mirimyangjang Seocho was carved and ready to eat, with the glossy skin on top of the meat looking amazing right from the start haha.
You put the Peking duck, cucumber, and scallion onto the wheat pancakes that come alongside, add some sauce, and eat it wrapped up. The duck is delicious on its own too, but wrapping it like this let the vegetables cut through the richness, and the combination worked really well!
On top of that we also ordered mapo tofu and dimsum, and once the table was fully set, it turned out to be even more filling than expected. The mapo tofu had big chunks of tofu and a generous amount of ground meat, and having the warm dimsum alongside made the whole menu combination really satisfying :)
Usually when I think of Chinese food, I think of familiar dishes like jjajangmyeon or jjamppong, but this time it was nice to try a variety of dishes with Peking duck as the main, along with mapo tofu and dimsum! Ordering several dishes to share in small portions instead of just one felt like a more proper way to enjoy Chinese food. The menu is varied enough that it would also work well for a group visiting together and ordering a bit of everything to share.
Why Mirimyangjang Seocho is worth going back to
More than anything, Mirimyangjang Seocho was comfortable the whole meal because the space was overall spacious and clean. The tables were well separated so I didn't have to worry much about what was going on around me, and the seats were roomy enough to eat at ease. There are also separate rooms, so it looked like a good option not just for family meals or friend gatherings but also for larger company dinners.
The food was delicious, but the comfortable atmosphere of the place was just as much of a draw! Somewhere I'd want to visit again whenever I feel like something a little different from the usual Chinese food, or when I want to properly enjoy Peking duck :)
